The newest collaboration from Victory Brewing Company and One Village Coffee. Had this on tap at Teresa's Next Door in Wayne, PA.

A: This beer poured a dark amber/brown color with a medium head and minimal lacing. Similar to an English brown but with an obvious coffee color present.

S: This beer definitely smells of coffee but isn't dominated by it like many of the stouts you see these days. The coffee scent is complex and balanced by many of the typical characteristics of a brown ale.

T: To start, this is the best and most unique coffee beer I have ever tasted. I was reluctant to try it because I normally hate any sort of coffee or chocolate flavored beers. However, this may have changed my opinion. The tastes of coffee are so well balanced with the neutrality of a brown ale. The malts from the beer seem to even out any bitter coffee taste. Almost like cream in coffee (non alcoholic). Its a tough flavor to describe in words. Just one of those beers you have to try.

M: Mouthfeel is really what distinguished this beer for me. Unlike the think oily coffee stouts, this beer was light, effervescent, and highly drinkable. An English Brown Ale is the ultimate style for coffee. Shit, I could drink this stuff for beakfast!

A light red-brown color with some warm clarity. The head is cropped to a white cap of about a quarter-inch height, but insulates the beer solidly.

Toasty brown ale malt with some light leafy hop, English-style earthiness, toffee, and faint coffee. Smells semi-dry and robust for the style.

A solid burst of flavor of fresh barley, dry toffee, herbal leaf hops, rigorous toast, unleavened bread, and a hush of breakfast coffee. A little floral, near the finish, with a good gut of overseas malted grain. A great afternoon drink with some singed sugars offering a heighted bitterness. Sturdy body and a zesty carbonation that drinks like a fresh local. Consumer approved.

Poured on-tap in a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, slightly opaque, muddled brown color with a filmy, bubbly, off-white head. Aromas of nut, cream, and highlights of bitter coffee. Flavors of cream and bitter coffee forward, with light nutty sweet highlights. Thin, crisp body with a roasted, bitter aftertaste. Clean, crisp finish.

Appearance - Sweet tea, eggshell head leaves spotty lacing.

Aroma - Watered down coffee beans, sweet malt.

Taste - Caramel, and slight iced coffee.

Mouthfeel - Watery, light bodied. Carbonation level is perfect.

Overall - More of a mild brown than American brown. Very easy drinking.
