A light red-brown color with some warm clarity. The head is cropped to a white cap of about a quarter-inch height, but insulates the beer solidly.

Toasty brown ale malt with some light leafy hop, English-style earthiness, toffee, and faint coffee. Smells semi-dry and robust for the style.

A solid burst of flavor of fresh barley, dry toffee, herbal leaf hops, rigorous toast, unleavened bread, and a hush of breakfast coffee. A little floral, near the finish, with a good gut of overseas malted grain. A great afternoon drink with some singed sugars offering a heighted bitterness. Sturdy body and a zesty carbonation that drinks like a fresh local. Consumer approved.
