Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – The brew was served a nice golden color with a small white head. The head faded fast to give a light amount of lacing.
Smell – The smell was a blend of spice, malt, and yeast. The malty base was biscuit in nature with the spice being of more herbal nature; rosemary thyme and a light pepper and grass smell
Taste – At the front of the tongue there is a light biscuit flavor with a good dose of rosemary and thyme. As the flavor advances some spicy hop flavors meet the tongue, bring an almost grassy and lightly earthy taste to the tongue. Yeast son enters the flavor profile where with a lighter sage flavor take the taste to its end.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness with a carbonation level that follows on par with the body.
Overall – Herbal with some interesting tastes and flavors. Nothing I would go to on great occasion, but a good one to try.

Purchased a 12 oz as part of a mixed six because I have liked Victory beers I have tried lately. Had the typical appearance of the saison but the smell seemed strange which had me guessing but the beer was very good. Surprised me that is was at 6.8, did not seem any different than the 5% saisons I have had and the higher alcohol content has value in my book. Enjoyed the beer and was disappointed that is has been retired, would have purchased again.

Poured from a bottle into a Samuel Adams Boston Lager pint glass. Bought as a single for $2.29
A - Clear straw color. Not much head or lacing with this beer
S - Tangy, citrus smell. Maybe a hint of spices and mint
T - Tastes herbal/spicey. Bitter aftertaste
M - On the high end with carbonation, but felt pretty light on the tongue. Went down smoothly
Overall, I thought this was a decent beer. I'm a big fan of Dog Fish Head Brewery and saw this as a single so I picked it up. I wouldn't purchase it again (as I can see they don't make it anymore), but I'm glad I picked up this single.
