When I read the description for this beer, I really had my doubts about all the spices added. Boy was I wrong. Went into Victory yesterday for lunch and they had this on tap. After two glasses, I became hooked. Great minty, italian herb, spearmint tasting and smelling brew. Aroma does come off as a little grassy but the herbs work well together. There's a pepper-like aroma to it as well. Pours a clear light golden color with nice white head. Very drinkable beer, especially in the warmer weather. Could envision having this one with a plate or bowl of pasta, something I've always been looking for in a brew, or simply any dish for the matter. Luckily, they allowed my growler to be filled; otherwise I would have been stuck buying a $50 case... Ouch!

Purchased a 12 oz as part of a mixed six because I have liked Victory beers I have tried lately. Had the typical appearance of the saison but the smell seemed strange which had me guessing but the beer was very good. Surprised me that is was at 6.8, did not seem any different than the 5% saisons I have had and the higher alcohol content has value in my book. Enjoyed the beer and was disappointed that is has been retired, would have purchased again.

Poured from a bottle into a Samuel Adams Boston Lager pint glass. Bought as a single for $2.29
A - Clear straw color. Not much head or lacing with this beer
S - Tangy, citrus smell. Maybe a hint of spices and mint
T - Tastes herbal/spicey. Bitter aftertaste
M - On the high end with carbonation, but felt pretty light on the tongue. Went down smoothly
Overall, I thought this was a decent beer. I'm a big fan of Dog Fish Head Brewery and saw this as a single so I picked it up. I wouldn't purchase it again (as I can see they don't make it anymore), but I'm glad I picked up this single.
