Having been to Munich several times for Octoberfest, I need to rank this as the most authentic "American" version of "tent" (zelt) beer I've ever enjoyed! I had this brew at Victory and they've hit a grandslam with this brew. Don't compare it to any other style of beer. The folks at Victory (who by the way trained in German) know what they're doing. Save yourself the time and $$$, try Zeltbier on a cool Autumn afternoon and you're in Munich!

Walked into Beermuda one Friday and this just happens to be on tap for 2 dollars. Seeing it's over 6% for a pint I found it a best buy.

A - Not very dark looks kind of like Hofbräuhaus Oktoberfest very clear bright amber brown, more yellow if anything. Head is minimal with just a 1/4 inch that fades.
S - Not too malty has a herbal hop bitterness, some lemons, and a mild bit of biscuit. If I was untold I would have sworn this was a Pilsner.
T - Again drinks more like a pilsner with skunky balanced yeast/malts, some herbal hop bitterness, and a clean bit of malt.
M - Light to medium it drinks rather well. On par with the style.

Overall it was a decent beer nothing to seek out again, but for 2 bucks it was pound able.
