Enjoyed at the brewpub this evening. Pours a slightly hazed peach gold with a medium, creamy head. A touch lighter in color than the Mad King's Weiss with a slightly larger head. Mouth is tight, fluffy. Focuses on a sensible yeast strain that focuses on light banana, lemon and carries through well into the back palate. Bread crust, some soft fruits, very light citrus. Not as hop-forward as the Mad King with a fluffier body, and probably a touch drier. Seems a bit like their Sunrise Weiss, which is a summer seasonal. Very impressive.

On tap @ the Victory Brewing Company (Downingtown, PA) on 11/24/10. Served in a Weizen glass.
Pours a hazed gold, topped with a finger of thick and frothy bright-white head. This retains with some great looking foamy richness that slathers the sides of the glass with creamy lacing. The aroma is fresh, floral, and a touch spicy in the nose, with some vibrant smelling citric notes. There is a smidge of sweeter yeasty banana present but lemon flavors are the fruit that is REALLY coming out in the nose. The tight feeling sweetness of the wheat here has a definite snap in the nose to it but is softened somewhat by some light airy feeling bubblegum hints.
The taste a nice crisp mix going on with it of toasty wheat sweetness and a smack of strong zesty lemon character. There's a moderate bitterness to this, which is coming off as more of the citrus rind variety and lingers into the finish with some dryness and spice. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, maybe a little lighter, with a smooth and even feeling creamy crispness to the carbonation that lasts the whole way through.
They described this at the brewery as a treat for those seeking a summer Weizen beer in the waning days of fall and I think that they pulled this off nicely. All of the refreshing qualities that you would want in a Hefe plus the types of hops that they used had a lemony smack of citric bitterness to them that gave this some extra oomph. Well done.

A light yellow gold color with a decent white film and decent lacing. The aroma is skunky wheat with a hint of lemon potato bread. The flavor brings an instant peppery citrus bite, pretty aggressive with a little dryness. I get some sourdough and floral overtones. Bready and light bodied with a very crisp feel that works well for the summer brew idea. A surprisingly impressive hope presence. Refreshing and drinkable for those attracted to bitter brews! Nice.
