On tap at Capone's. Served in a mini snifter.

Pour yields a very, very hazy yellow color with a very short head that refuses to rise no matter the number of swirls. The aroma brings some nice Tettnang hops with a bit of grain. Perhaps too much grain. The taste improves with a better hop hit and less straight grainy malt. Good bitterness and a light body. Dry finish. Pretty decent, though no match for Prima Pils.

On-tap at Stag's Head, New York, NY

A: The beer is crystal clear straw yellow in color and has a very slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that slowly died down, leaving only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of grassy hops in the nose.
T: like the smell, the taste has flavors of grassy hops along with hints of spicy hops towards the finish. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This isn't as balanced compared to the regular Prima Pils but is an interesting pilsner on its own.

On tap @ the VBC (Downingtown, PA) on 7/3/11. Served in a Pilsner glass.

Pours a clear copper, topped with a finger of frothy bright-white head. This has a solid looking creamy retention to it, and a big rich flare-up to boot, leaving back thick swathes of heavy lace. The aroma is grassy and spicy in the nose, with some bright smelling citrus flavors (lemon, in particular, stands out), while the tight toasted graininess from the malts offer up more than enough support underneath.

Hops take control in the taste, with an assertive feel that lays a big ole’ smack of lemon tartness down on the tongue first, before giving way to a spicy leafiness and bitter rind character that sticks in the mouth with a dry and pithy feel. The malts provide a rigid supportive sweetness underneath but the overall profile here is mostly about those hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a strong prickly crispness that is quite assertive on the tongue, before smoothing out along the back.

Well this was most definitely pretty hop forward and your enjoyment of this will probably depend on just how bitter you like your Pils. While this wasn’t quite up to the standards of some of the other entries in the Braumeister series, this will still do in a pinch if you’re yearning for a crisp and quenching beer.

Appears a hazy light gold with a small white cap that quickly fades out into gentle speckles of lacing. Tiny streams of CO2 slowly rise to the top.
Smell is of floral, perfumey hops with an earthy, dough like undertone.
Taste is of yeasty, bready, light citrus peel, flowers, and honeysuckle.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, sugary, earthy, mildly bitter in the swallow, with a German hop garden lingering in the swallow.

On Tap at Resurrection Ale House.

Color is a bright yellow with some faint touches of gold within, it does not quite look as pale as some macros's, but looks pretty similar. A nice whisp of white bubbles grace the top for a few and leave no lace. Smell is fairly floral with the tettang taking center stage with a trace amount of pale malt running behind. Grassy notes in taste with some florals mixing in with some pilsner malts, pretty light all together, yet the tettnang manages to stick through for the whole 16oz's. Feel is light bodied with a crisp yet not bitey carb going for it. This is a nice pils. A bit brighter in flavor than Victory's other year round pils, yet that might be because this is a fresh ass keg. I could drink two pints of this before tiring of it, which is one more than most pils I have.

On draft at Capone's in Philadelphia.

The beer is hazy yellow with minimal head and lacing. The aroma is pretty weak, with some faint pilsner scents. The flavor is pretty good, with a healthy malt showing. Mild bitterness is present in the finish. Overall, a decent pilsner and pretty drinkable.

On tap at Max's today.

The beer pours a solid gold color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is all pils goodness, showing honey, bread dough, light orange citrus and white pepper. The flavor profile generally replicates the nose in this delicious pils, but with surprising flavor intensity. The beer is refreshingly dry and bitter, but with just enough malty honey flavor to keep the hoppy bitterness in balance. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a fairly long, crisp, bitter finish. Drinkabilty is excellent in this well crafted pils, with the modest alcohol well integrated into the flavor profile.

Another well made pils from Victory. When it comes to pils, no one I know does it better.

Poured on tap at Church Key into a nice tall glass.

A cloudy straw orb glowing body, with a white slight rock hard head. Body is lemon color at bottom giving way to a dull yellow with good carbonation, leaving a simple collar through drinking and minimal lacing.

The Bouquet is a faint mild lemongrass, and very clean spritzy sensation, but also a dead lifeless yeast? I don't know how to say it... kind of strange yeast smell.

Taste is very crisp, with a big carbon dioxide finish that quickly disappears though. Extremely dry. Hop punch is short and dry and quick while finish seems to be a tad crazy, but there are also nice whisps of white bread throughout quaffing this beer.

This one doesn't really grab me compared to Prima Pils or other breweries making this style. It's still overall fairly okay I'll give it that.

pour is transparent light gold with a foamy slightly off white head. Nose has strong grain, lightly sticky malt, soapy hops, herbal, lightly resignous. Taste is more herbal, strong bitterness, grain is much more muted, citrus comes through in the finish. Lightly carbonated, fairly dry.

On-tap, served in a pint glass

A clear copper color with a small off white cap. The head fades quickly and leaves no discernible lacing, just a thin collar around the edges. The nose is of grainy pilsner malt, lemongrass, some flowers, bread, and white pepper. This guy is extremely clean and simple. On the palate, there is a bit of sweetness up front before a floral, bitter, spicy wave from the tettnang. The finish is a touch peppery, but mainly a balance of sweetness and floral bitterness. Crisp and dry. Light body with low carbonation. Victory has again shown their mastery of German malts. This is a clean, simple beer with a solid punch of flavor. Nothing over the top, well within the style points.

On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.

Pours a fizzy golden yellow. Small but ok looking head. Not much lacing.

Smells like toasty grain and and herbal grassy hops.

Tastes the same, but more magnified. Very grassy hop flavor from the Tettnang hops. Very pleasant. Bit of spiciness to the hops as well, leaving a pleasant bitter aftertaste in your mout after every sip.

Very light but good mouthfeel. Well carbonated.

A great easy drinking pilsner with outstanding, simple hop flavor. I could certainly put a few of these back easy- seems like the sort of beer that would improve with multiple in a session.

Purchased a growler of this from Charleston Beer Exchange yesterday and I am excited to try this.

Emerges from the growler a clear, slightly amber hued golden color with a respectable amount of lacing and head retention.

Aroma is very nice. Noble type hops with a decent amount of cracker like, white bread maltiness. Smells like Germany, even though I am here in Myrtle Beach.

A great beer overall. Smooth, hoppy, pleasant, very enjoyable. Glad I got this growler.
