CBC Beer had on a tap at the pub in the spring of 11. Pours a completely transparent golden yellow with thinner white head. A little sweet in the nose, lots of honey, yeast is there too with some peppery spice and floral hops. The taste also has lots of honey and sugar, overly sweet with a light spice that isn't enough to balanced. Some traditional banana and lemon notes with a faint hop presence and light lingering bitterness. Creamy feel, medium body, syrupy texture. Average at best.

Bottle shared by Lee – much obliged!
Pours a clear golden color with a white head that leaves solid lacing.
Smells of crisp light malts with booze-soaked pears and good amounts of spicy and slightly floral hops.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Bright light malts up front are joined quickly by syrupy pear flavors with hints of apricots. Midway through spicy and somewhat herbal hops come into play, carrying through to a mildly bitter ending. Mouthfeel is very good, with grainy carbonation.
Overall I thought the hop choice melded very well with this beer. An easy drinker despite the high ABV and one that’s well worth a shot.

Appears a light gold with a small white head that slowly fades into a gentl cap and collar. Scattered bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of candy sugar, pils malt, mild spice and pepper. A nod to ripe fruit, especially in the form of bananas foster.
Taste is of the aromas with a sugary, spiced esters flowing and a rummy burn in the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium- full bodied, chewy, and rummy in the finish. Like the Monkey yet different in that the spices are a tad more subtle and the hop profile is also more mild.

One of the 2011 Craft Brewing Conference beers. Pours a medium orange gold. Body is a bit heavier than the other CBC beers, as was expected, and the beer bore the most similarity to the Saison in its yeasty, spicy qualities. Fairly sweet, an oddly "round" flavor profile, finish is really heavy on cardamom and other spices. A bit hot perhaps. I would have liked a drier tripel here, as the hop they used was great but wasn't really showcased.
