Draft at The Top in a pint glass. Pours golden with some red-orange hue, not much head but maybe the bartender was wiping this off to get it up to the top of the glass. Smell is sweet citrus and faint pilsner like malts in the background. Flavor is a nice crisp citrus, very little bitter, and a hint of sweet. More of an APA than IPA but a very nice beer. Easy drinking. Light and sweet.

A: Poured from the growler into a Sam Smith's nonic-style pint glass. Body is clear amber-orange with a big (3-finger) ivory head that leaves thick foamy lace.
S: Biscuity and caramel malt foundation with citrusy & floral hops on top. Not terribly hoppy in the nose, which is a bit of a surprise.
T: Sweet caramel malt is followed by piney & citrusy hops; finishes with piney bitterness - resin, pine needles and a lingering bit of spruce. Aftertaste is quite bitter, though malt sweetness remains underneath.
M: Good creaminess; carbonation is modest, heft is medium.
O: Easy drinker if you like a long, bitter finish. Surprisingly balanced otherwise, however; it's jut that piney bitter finish that reminds you that this is an American IPA.
