Deep copper in color with moderate clarity. There's a trace of thinly veiled brown in the middle of the glass. The aroma is of golden raisins and Belgian yeast. I taste plenty of light Belgian malt and some light Belgian candy sugar. The mouth is a bit warm with alcohol, highly carbonated, and chewy.

July 2014 bottle date. Pours a vibrant muddy-orange color with a tiny wisp of off-white head. Syrupy aroma of orange marmalade, molasses, maple and winter spices. The taste doesn't really align. There's a moderately high hop-bitterness, some alcohol burn and even citrusy hop flavor; it's buried behind the malts, but there's definitely some grapefruit flavor there. There's also a fair amount of banana and clove on the backend. Medium bodied, slightly creamy, with a little prickliness to the mouthfeel. Not very traditional, but tasty and complex nonetheless. Not bad.

A- Poured from a caged and corked bottle to a tulip glass. Dark, rich amber coloration with a finger length of beige head at the top.

Smell- Wow, you can smell it from the moment you uncork it. Tons of fruits, clove, cinnamon and spices.

Taste- Very, very sweet. Follows the nose with a huge, beautiful burst of fruity flavors and spices. Absolutely outstanding if you like the sweet flavors of quads, with just a slight kick of alcohol on the finish.

Feel- Medium body, slight carbonation

Overall- All I can say is wow... This has taken the spot as my new favorite beer, out of everything I have tried over my year of tasting craft offerings. The sweetness might be offputting for some, but then again, that's what comes with the style.

4-2-16 - Poured from a caged and corked 750ml bottle into a chalice glass. Dark straw color with just a slight head. Smooth and tasty with great aromas. Not as strong as other quads I had, but with great subtle tastes. So good.

This beer pours a rich amber with a classically large head. The aroma is redolent of figs and dates, with accompanying banana, clove, cinnamon, and a fair amount of alcohol. The flavor is semi-sweet, with notes of fig, date, chocolate, banana, brown sugar, pecans, nutmeg, clove, burnt orange, and lavender. The mouthfeel is full and thick. Overall this is a superb beer. I would not have guessed it was a quad, but is is awesome in any style.

I'll keep this review short and sweet. Bought a 25.4 oz bottle at a Hudson, NH Market Basket of all places. Bottled On date was 28 AUG 2015. Split this bottle over two consecutive days. Color is pure copper with a clear appearance, but upon closer inspection the beer reveals itself to be unfiltered. First day drank the beer out of a Chimay goblet; second day out of a stemmed tulip-like glass. What really stands out about this beer is its mouthfeel. Booziness/alcohol is strong in the taste, but there are huge hints of apple juice before the alcohol conquers. Lacing is incredible. My low rating on the Smell is due to its subtlety, although there's an apple faintness. "Liquid Luxury in the form of a Belgian-Style Quad" - those words capture this beer almost perfectly.

1pt. 9.4oz. - caged and corked brown bottle - no bottled on date printed on label

Victory V-Twelve filled my snifter with an amber color and produced an off-white 1-finger bubbly head. The head had good staying power and nice lacing was formed. The nose was sweet, malty and fruity. The taste started out fruity with hints of apricot and pear followed by malt and flavors of sweet caramel. There is just enough hop presence to balance the Quad. The finish is a little dry, mildly sweet, and there is a nice warming from the alcohol. Mouth feel is smooth, and crisp with a high-medium body.

Victory has produced a nice [American] Quad that goes down easily for such a high [12%] abv.

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a snifter. Thanks Andrew for getting this for my birthday.

Pours pretty flat with an amber hazy body, very little head or lacing, leaves nothing behind.

Aromas are sweet with toffee and caramel, some hoppy pine, booze, but sweetness is definitely there. On the tongue is sweet malt, toffee, caramel, a little belgium fruityness, light spices, piney hops. Mouthfeel is slightly watery for 12% and low carbonation.

Meh.. alright, definitely drinkable and easy to drink if you want to put down a 12% beer quick. Would have preferred more flavor.

Lets face it, this beer is more about the AVB. It is extremely cheap for a 12%er, and really quite good for the price and purpose. The spice it gives is sublime!

look: 3.75 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25

Look: It pours amber in color with a slightly off white head.

Smell: The aromas present are raisins, plums, noticeable alcohol, bread, pepper, and spices.

Taste: The tastes are high on the sweet flavors of fruit and the malts. The fruits are more plums than raisins, bread, spices, a hint of caramel, and alcohol.

Feel: There is significant alcohol warming, but not enough to create a burn. it has a heavy feel to it and is somewhat dry.

Overall: This is a highly malty and fruity heavy drinking beer that is rich with complex flavors and aromas.

12/18...pours slightly reddish amber with white clingy foam. Settles down. Yeasty malt nose, slightly fruity. Taste is a fruit forward juice burst, and then a whopping alcohol pop. Berries, cherries. Boozy. Really tasty for a 12 abv.

Pours a pleasant amber with white head with good residual. Smells strongly of Belgian yeast, phenols, some banana, dark fruits, molasses and caramel. Tastes very sweet malts forward, caramel/molasses, pear, mid to late note are a bit spicy and slightly sticky finish. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, pleasantly sticky with just a hint of carbonation – pleasant clean finish.
Overall, very pleasant, Belgian style beer – nice, sweet and enjoyable. Different notes accentuated compared to Belgian quad equivalent – but rather enjoyable and at a great price point.

L: Orange copper with nice head that does down to small foam around the edge.

S: Belgium yeast with some dried fruit.

T: good quad taste with nice complexity. Not as good as the traditional top quads but a strong showing. I really enjoyed this.

F: smooth through with heat after. Easy drinker.

O: glad I took a chance and grabbed this. I will rebuy

Hmm, almost like a "plain" quad, whatever that is. Pours a very pretty hazy copper with nice white top. Head doesn't retain like the typical quad though. Aromas are fairly simple - malt, yeast ester, a touch of saison. Flavors are similar with some of the alcohol coming through, very sweet in a malty-syrupy way mid sip, leaving a bit of a bite at the finish. Fairly clean despite the sweet and alcohol. Not bad, but I was pretty excited given the low price and high reviews.

Poured from the 22oz bottle into a snifter.
Pours a light amber with foamy head with great retention.
Aromas are sweet and spicy.
Taste is inspired by a Blegian quad, but not entirely that of a quad. Spice and sweetness are there but lacking in raisin and more complexity. This beer hides its 12% ABV quite well.
Mouthfeel was good.
Overall this beer was tasty and nicely inspired by a quad, though not exactly a quad itself.

A - Pours a clear and vibrant copper/amber color, the lacing is thick but for a Quad, that's not much head on this.

S - Caramel roast, toffee, figs, bready, overall - the nose is on the light side.

T - Roasted caramel toffee malt from start to finish with a pronounced booziness on the first sip. Toasted candy sugar, pears, and a little bit of apricot but very subtle, some Belgian spice on the back end.

M - Thick, heavy, full bodied, lip smacking sticky, very slick, carbonation is very gentle and perfect. Leaves a thick coating of sweet toasted malt in the mouth with some light fruit buried in to help balance the sweetness.

O - A solid beer but I'd probably reach for something from Belgium before this one.

25 oz bomber poured into a pint glass bottle date 5.1.15
pours red/orange with a thick off white head
left a decent amount of lace on the glass
smell is of strong alcohol malty and yeasty to start then slight fruit/sweet as it warmed
taste-sweet strong alcohol and malty
feel is carbonated but smooth enough to drink despite the 12% abv
overall solid a little too sweet to drink more than one especially with the 25.4 oz bottle

Bottled on: 7/3/14.

Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, dark fruit, spice, brown sugar, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, brown sugar, dark fruit, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness and an alcohol kick on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with solid aromas and flavors and is holding up very well at over a year old at this point.

Another excellent brew from Victory. Yeast, malt, spices great flavors. Great mouth feel. A bit of alcohol, but not what you might expect from 12% ABV. Overall an enjoyable drink. Need more.

On the shelf at the local Grocery Store, This is a treat. Pours a nice reddish amber with an quickly dissipating head, a little lace, fruity / spicy aroma, and a rich, sweet flavor that continues to reward as the temp comes up to about 50. I like it!

I am drinking this at 8 months old from a chalice. L: It pours brilliant reddish amber under a thin foam cap. S: It has mild aromas with malt, alcohol and faint hops. T: Rich malt flavors combine with Belgian yeast notes of over ripe fruit and alcohol to comprise the palate. F: Medium to medium full body and medium to medium low carbonation. Very slight warming. O: You have to read the bottle to know that it has 12.0% abv. A very smooth, well made quad.

On tap at Victory in Downingtown, PA. On the menu it's the only bottled beer listed, but I was lucky enough to catch it on tap; the bartender said it essentially never is available. Nice copper color with minimal head and little lace. Somewhat sour grape scent with hints of clove. Strong bitter feel, rides all the way through from start to finish.

Great Quad offering from one of PA's best!

750ml bottle. 3/11/15 bottle date. Appearance: Dark golden, with a hint of orange. Slight haze and white foam cap that dissipated quickly. Aroma: fruit forward Belgian yeast, mainly apple and pear, with some grape notes. Moderate intensity. Taste: Really rich caramel malt and candu sugar dominate, with slight Belgian yeast fruitiness on the back end, mainly pear. Mouthfeel: Medium body with some viscosity, and low carbonation. Alcohol warmth is present, but not harsh. Finish: Very sweet maltiness on the finish, with alcohol warmth. Overall: Considering this clocks in at 12%, it’s really smooth. Very rich maltiness and a nice balance against the fruitiness of the Belgian yeast.
