Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

Nice lemon bodied yellow to darker brown colored body. Slightly cloudy with a nice rising column of carbonation. Head is fluffy and bone white, with an easy three fingers on the pour. Good creamy retention while waiting.

Notes of soft yeast, and peanut butter quality. Smells quite a bit nutty. Moderate to mild indistinguishable citrus notes. Not bad, a hint of saision like pepper quality rounds out most of the aromas.

Palate seems to match light bodied and sessionable quality. Slightly watery with not much malt depth, and mild crisp saison like dry heat. Slight pepper but also fleeting. REally not much fruit character to this at all, but the spice angle sticks around.

Overall it is as advertised, but it's also a little bit weak and boring.

12 ounce bottle -> New Belgium globe glass

A - light gold, slightly hazy (but not much) with a one finger foamy white head, good retention, and good lacing.

S - very fruity nose, citrus, and maybe some peaches.

T - lemon, grass, with a prickly spicy hop finish

M - pretty good carbonation with a bit of an aftertaste

O - very easy to drink. Light and refreshing. Perfect for a hot day.

Pours a straw yellow color with a fairly decent sized white head. There are a fair amount of bubbles coming up, and the head lasts for a few minutes before reducing down.

Smells floral, yeasty, and a bit of a smell of hay.

Starts out with a mix of spice and citrus. There is a bit of pepper and finishes with a hop bite, leaving some bitter aftertaste.

Nothing to complain about with the feel, there is a bit of tingle from the carbonation.

Basically a middle of the road saison. Nothing really outstanding about it, but nothing really wrong either. I would like to see the hops dialed back a bit, I think they are dominating a bit too much and overwhelming the other flavors. It does go down easy, but pretty much an average beer for the style.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip.

Appearance: Pours a somewhat hazy golden with a big white head that dissipates after about a minute.

Aroma: Smells of lemon, citrus, pepper and some faint herbaceous notes. Smells appealing. The nose is very forward but in no way overpowering or funky.

Taste: This is a really tasty saison. It starts out with lemon and citrus and then finishes dry and slightly peppery. Those grassy, herbaceous notes are also in there on both ends.

Mouthfeel: The body is just right. Just about spot-on for a saison.

Overall: A pretty terrific domestic saison. It hits all the notes - great aroma, nice citrus and lemon flavor, appealing dry pepper finish. Would drink again.
