A homage to the historical and cultural significance of the great beer-loving city of Philadelphia, Liberty Bell Ringer Double IPA packs a punch worthy of the Italian Stallion himself and was created to celebrate Philly Beer Week. We packed double the dry-hops and threw them down super late in our brewing process to make this DIPA sing with massive tropical, fruity hop flavor and aroma. And because we can never get enough, we did it twice Let it ring.

Flavor
Don't be fooled by its pale golden color, our incredibly flavorful Liberty Bell Ringer Double IPA is no featherweight! Sweet and spicy aromas of passion fruit and lemon zest merge in this full flavored, double IPA. Intense flavors of lemongrass, mango and spice mingle with subtle notes of fresh hay finishing with a mild and pleasing bitterness.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Best by Nov. 6, 2021.

L---Hazy, bright golden color. Fluffy white head faded slowly to a cap and left nice lacing.

S---Overflowing with tropical notes. Strong mango and passion fruit with some light backing citrus.

T---Lighter than the nose, but still the same flavors. Maybe some lemon/lime.

F---Medium/light bodied which was unexpected for a fairly high ABV. Well carbonated.

O---Excellent work from an excellent brewery.

poured chilled from can into a willybecker chilled

The color is a hazed golden with thick white cream with fine bead, lace clings to the glass

The smell is fairly mild for the double dry hopping with mild citrus fruit and spice with hints of floral and tropical fruit scents low yeast and malt in aroma

The feel is mostly dry yet mildly bitter texture is perceived with medium high carbonation and low sweetness with slight spice in hip profile and light alcohol in the finish which is dry in a semi long yet a balance in general with sufficent malt support of the hops

The flavor has hops that give herbal tea and slight citrus flavors up front yet subtle astringency with light lime like aspect and floral resinous element with a hint of herbal mintiness and light zest with earthy element in taste of the hops with mild malt sweetness in the back with alcohol very mild in the flavor.

The overall impression is a high quality hop focused yet not cookie cutter grapefruit or west coast style more new style in many ways yet very hop flavored and dry which I like as it is very drinkable for 8.7%

Had this on 2021-07-07 near Pittsburgh, PA from a 12oz can with a best by of 2021-11-07

A - Fairly hazy straw-gold with a 1-finger white head that drops quickly leaving little lace.

S - Unusual. Moderately dank, lemon-lime, unripe peach, pepper

T - Lemon-lime tartness and bitterness, light cracker, herbal tea and more pepper up front than the smell. Not much fruit or malt sweetness. Finishes dry and bitter.

M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation.

O - Reminds me of an amped up Session IPA except with more alcohol. This "fortified hop tea" isn't my bag but it is well made.

DIPA 12 oz. single for a mere $2.19? Yes, please. Thanks, Catoctin Mountain Wine and Liquor in Thurmont, MD. really solid, almost too perfect appearance, with two fingers of mellow head over a clear golden. Nose is tropical with herbal notes. you can taste the layering left by the dry hopping and this brings the bitterness but not at the expense of flavor. Tropical and citrus notes with medicinal backing. Not much for balance, but that is really par for the course. Maybe a touch too much carbonation but this is what its supposed to be, if that is what you are looking for.

Picked up a 16 oz single can from the Kings Beer & Wine cooler 5-21-20 for $2.99. Best by 09 AUG 2020, consumed 8-1-20. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured golden with a nice white head that has some good hang time.

Nose has some lemon and orange that is at the forefront.

Taste is lemon forward blended by orange and grapefruit over a substantial pils malt base. Finishes with a nice subtle but effective bitterness consisting of pine and rind; 7/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and both pretty smooth and refreshing on a 110 degree afternoon.

Overall i like the lemon expression on top of the pilsner base yet it provides a nice traditional west coast fashion finish with the pine and rind expression at the end of each sip. Nice beer at a nice price point!

"Like walking through an orchard", exclaimed Leah on first whiff.... Taste is on par with smell.... REALLY enjoyed this at Annie Bailey's Irish Pub in Lancaster. So full of orange smell and I can hardly stop. Delightful! A "light" DIPA.

First want to say that DDH does not necessarily equal NEIPA, and doesn't in this case. Lib Bell Ringer is first and foremost a DIPA, and it hides the alcohol pretty well. I'm drinking it approximately one-month before the drink-by date. Maltiness has started to take over, but it's still bright with lemon and citrusy flavors. Appearance is more unfiltered than hazy, with a thin head around the rim. Taste is one big smear of malt, pine, soap, lemon again, bread.
