Pours a rich copper color with a white head and a bit of lace. Aroma of grains and flowery hops. In the taste, grains and floral hops, a bit of estery yeast. Has a raw grainy taste with light malts. Medium bodied, well carbonated feel. Overall, this was a good beer. According to the staff this is a relabeled Abbey 5.

had on tap at the Chickie and Pete's at PHL airport

a pale yellow color, soapy white head. aroma and taste is typical of a pale Belgian beer - fairly clean malt flavor, dominated by the Belgian yeast flavors - herbal and earthy. thin body, higher carbonation.

14 oz pour on-tap into a shaker pint.

golden blonde with a short white head. Excellent clarity with light carbonation.

Caramel, pear, and potpourri.

Caramel and pear fronted by Belgian yeast flavors and notes of potpourri. Has a snap of pink peppercorn in the finish. No crab spice flavors are apparent.

Light bodied, smooth, clean, and refreshing.

Mellow, yeast-fronted, and easy drinking BPA.

Light copper in color. The nose had slight pepper spice - like Old Bay. The flavor profile sort of tastes like a Belgian Ale but then again, not.

Not too sure what they were after here.

This beer was brewed exclusively for the Chickie's & Pete's location inside of the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Although Victory Brewing is a reputable name in this area, it certainly produced a well-crafted beer that is a hidden gem on the menu. Patrons will be pleasantly surprised by this offering, compared to other locally-produced Abbeys.

Had on tap at Chickies in the Philly airport. Served in a chilled pint glass.

L: Pours a deep amber with a finger of off-white head. Hard to tell clarity with the frosted glass.

S: Belgian yeast and peppercorns. Malts and esters.

T/F: Tasted like a Belgian ale... malts and yeasts with some peppercorns for spice. Creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation.

O: Solid beer that the bartender told me was brewed by Victory specifically for Chickie & Petes and was made with their famous crab fry spices. I didn't pick up on those... just some peppery notes. Still a nice Belgian ale and the frosted glass hindered rather than helped the flavor.

Purchased from the Brewpub and drunk on the same day.

A real nice, dry, sessionable abbey ale that maintains many of the flavors you'd come to expect from a Trappist in a much more approachable ABV.

The best part of this beer is the mouthfeel; which is creamy and full. All in all, another great effort from Bill and Ron.
