Poured from a bottle with an enjoy by date of 9/1/14; into a tulip.
Appearance - Golden, somewhat cloudy with a bit of sediment present. Carbonation builds a huge, foamy, white head that quickly recedes. Lacing is scattered.
Smell - HOLY...this is fantastic! Close your eyes, and you swear this is a West Coast IPA! Citrus hops explode from the bottle and then from the glass!
Taste - Grapefruit, but with a strong enough malt backbone to keep it from being one sided! This is fantastic!
Feel - The palate is alive after a few sips! Grapefruit bitterness, calming malt backbone, a hint of carbonation, and very easy drinking!!!
Overall - I'm not surprised by how good this beer is, because I've come to expect greatness from Victory; but the fact that they've stepped away from their usual style and managed to make a WC style IPA this good...very impressive!!!

Pours a goldish-orange with a big white foam head that dissipates quickly. A small amount of lacing around the edges.
Lots of citrus hops in the aroma. Bursting with grapefruit, lemon, and orange. A little bit of sweetness going along with the cirrus. Nose finishes up with a burst of pine that is very strong.
The taste follows the nose. Lots of hops right up front, followed by the same bursting grapefruit and a hint of the lemon, with a touch of mango and possibly peach. A little bit of bitterness in the finish. Piney resin comes with the aftertaste. For such a hoppy beer, this is shockingly easy to drink.
Medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. The pine causes a bit of a resinous quality, making it a bit sticky going down.
Overall, this is a fantastic DIPA, once of my favorites so far. Despite the hoppiness, it is incredibly easy to drink, which could make it dangerous.
