12oz bottle poured into a Sam Adams 'perfect pint' glass.
AP: Light to medium golden colour, slightly hazy as I can see the blurred distorted images of my fingers through the glass. Poured a 3/4" fluffy white head that took a while to finally fizzle down to a lacing and dusting across the surface. Nothing really compelling about the appearance, almost looks like a Pilsner.
AR: Bready malt, biscuit, light toasted grains. Fresh green pine needles. Soft notes of citrus and tropical fruits like pink grapefruit, tangerine. clementine, pineapple and mango. There's also a faint flowery herbal scent like jasmine or lavender.
T: That is a very clean crisp and somewhat dry DIPA. Very easy drinking and almost evaporates off your palate. Flavours are caramel, bready and biscuit malts, light grains with a soft green pine note and pink grapefruit and bitter orange. I'm not getting the tropical fruit notes I got from the nose, however. Very well balanced between the malts and the hops.
M: Mild carbonation, slightly creamy texture, medium body but only just (body seems a bit light for a DIPA), as mentioned above a fairly dry finish that seems to almost evaporate from your palate.
OV: A very good DIPA. Pros for me were the dry finish, the easy drinkability and the harmonious balance between the malt and hops. Cons were the body and that the flavour lacked all the aspects in the aroma. This goes down too easy for a DIPA.

12oz Bottle from Total Wine Palm Desert CA for $3
Appearance - Amber colour with an average size white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some good lacing. The head lasted for around 3-4 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Malts, hops, grapefruit, apricots
Taste & Mouth - There is an above average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, grapefruit, and hops. There is also some resin and apricot/peach.
Overall - A way above average DIPA. Lots of vibrant flavours and yet still somewhat balanced. Perhaps a little sweet, but hey, it's a DIPA.
