A: Poured from the bottle into a Duvel tulip. Body is slightly hazy but bright orange with a one-finger white head. Settles slowly to leave a bit of lace on the glass.
S: Very nice nose for a DIPA - citrus is there in abundance: grapefruit, lemon, clementine orange and even lime. Touch of apricot as well. Sweet malt is there too - honey comes to mind.
T: Like the nose, there's lots of vibrant citrus. Grapefruit, tangerine and lemon or lemongrass. There's a good dose of apricot too. Malt foundation is bread doughy, but it takes a back seat to the hops, which are bitter but also fruity and thus not of the palate-shredding variety. Heat from the alcohol is noted at the back end and as a warming feeling in the belly.
M: Medium in heft, but it drinks lighter. Carbonation is modest and fine-bubbled, keeping this one from becoming too slick in feel.
O: This is an excellent DIPA that drinks on the lighter side of the DIPA spectrum. Here's hoping they add this to their rotation full-time.

What did you call me ?
Poured into pint glass
A: Golden with some sediment in bottom
S: Dank. Mango, pineapple, grapfruit and . . . and . . . cat urine ? that's just odd.
T: Cat urine does not show thank goodness ! Solid Hop flavor with mentioned fruits
M: Full bodied for a dipa and resiness
O: A solid westcoast style ipa. Similar to Sculpin and White Rajah. Seriously though, don't worry too much about the whole cat urine thing. A solid beer from Victory. I like Hop Ranch better but Dirtwolf will be had again. Cheers
