Growler poured into pint glass

A: Rich golden hue – plenty of carbonation that rushes to populate a clean bright white head that has moderate retention. Looks like its light and fresh – much more translucence than the Hop Ranch, could be attributable to the serving style difference. Lacing is weak.

S: DANK, hoppy, citrus, earthy and a bit of pine or woody related notes that give a unique dryness. The citrus is dominant and very floral, lots of lemon and other fresh aromas – smells a lot like spring or a warm rainy morning. The wood profile is a mixture of what smells like pine and spruce – maybe cedar

T: Floral and citrus notes upfront with a lot of tree/wood character that make it somewhat dry but crisp as well. Fruit flavor is mellow and contributes to a mild sweetness – grapefruit, pineapple, MANGO, and lemon. Spices roll off the palate imparting their distinct presence (ginger among others) while enhancing the flowery hops. A multilayered flavor journey that ends with a light and pleasant sweetness produced from the blended fruit and a tenuous sugariness.

M: Medium bodied, with medium carbonation – aftertaste is dry but still with complex flavor, slightly sweet maybe from orange peel.

O: Impressive, my favorite DIPA to date. Surprisingly easy to drink for the style and the ABV – very well balanced and quite refreshing. A lot of different flavors contribute to a deliciously cohesive taste that I plan to drink whenever I see it available.

I am continually impressed with Victory’s offerings and glad to support a local brew that is this delectable.

Poured into a glass. Clear golden-orange with persistent 1/2" off white head. Piney and dank aroma mixed with some citrus and tropical fruit - nice. Taste is similar with more tropical fruit mixed with pine and spice, moderate bitterness and slightly sharp. Seems a little watery but otherwise great mouthfeel. Overall, very nice DIPA.

Good beer! Among the top IPAs.. Great label on the beer.. Victory is pretty consistent at brewing good beers.. I think this was one of there best.. Nice hoppy citrus taste.. Well deserving in being one of the top 250 beer list..If this beer is available at the liquor store it would be hard to pass up on..

Serving Type: 12 oz. bottle; 4 pack. Interesting bottle art design. Poured into a tulip glass.

A: Hazy, golden yellow body with a beige head (approx. 1/2"). Pretty good lacing. Yeast cells and debris visible throughout the beer, notably at the bottom. Definitely an impressive-looking beer.

S: Very sweet smelling with a pervasive fruity aroma; combination of pineapple, passion fruit, mandarin orange, and grapefruit. Additional hints of pine resin, sweet hoppy malt, and a musky/woody aroma. The aroma of the hops is definitely present.

T: Flavor starts off with exactly what the nose picked up: citrus combined with an undertone of earthiness that balances out the sweetness. It finishes strong with a bitterness one would expect with high quality hops. When one thinks of a DIPA, this epitomizes what a quality brew should emulate.

M: A little more than medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Goes down very smooth and despite the alcohol content, there is minimal tingling.

O: This beer is dangerously drinkable. While 8.7% ABV isn't monumentally high, I would have hazarded a guess of roughly 6% ABV (or less) based on what I could taste and feel. While I think this beer may be a tad overrated, it is absolutely a quality DIPA that stands above many of my personal favorites. I would highly recommend this brew to anyone who enjoys DIPAs.

Poured into a Voodoo Tulip glass

A-A murky but semi see through Honey Orange color with a nice finger and a half of off white head. Lots of lacing. Some yeast hanging out on the bottom of the glass. Great looking beer.

S- Lush Peach and mango. Pineapple, Citrus, Very tropical but its not a blast of fragrance its very subtle but certainly there.

T- Tropical with some slight pine. You get the Pineapple and mango as well as peach. Slight pine notes that play the background and then a pink grapefruit towards the end. You also get a little honey sweetness in it to round it all out. Let this one settle and warm up a bit it brings out everything in it a lot better.

M- Great mouth feel. I'd say lower end of medium bodied. This beer is scary drinkable and Im not sure what the IBU's are but it isn't intrusive at all. It's bitter but more of a natural grapefruit bitterness to it. Very pleasant.

O- It's tough to not come off as a homer for this one. Victory is on the other side of the state from me so this one is available for a great price point which has made it a main stay as I usually buy it by the case. After drinking so much of this I know this beer hits its sweet spot about 2 weeks after its bottled and packed. They used Simcoe, Chinook, Citra, Mosaic hops on this one and I loved what they did with them. A mix of a few old school hops with some newer tough to get ones. They let the hops control the show in this one but its not quite the hop bomb that a Heady topper is. I wonder what yeast they used in this because I feel like its contributing some of the Mango/peach notes in this one. Either way this is an excellent beer no matter how you cut it even if you don't have to travel to the ends of earth to get it.
