Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Weyerbacher pint glass.
A: Nice bright gold, lightly hazy, with lots of small bubble visible carbonation and a finger's worth of white head.
S: Bright tropical fruits, melon, with less dank, resin and citrus hops with a light cracker malt underneath.
T: Tropical fruits, mango and pineapple, and melon, with some dankness over the lightly sweet cracker malt. A restrained bitterness in the hang, especially for style.
M: Light body for style but not at all watery. Low alcohol presence, and quite a bit of carbonation sensation.
O: Wow, I'm really happy with this one. Very good, especially for a shelf IIPA that comes in a four-pack. Really well-done, and I anticipate this one making frequent appearances in the refrigerator. Recommended for sure.

A: Deep copper, almost brown. Cloudy, mild carbonation. Nice looking.
S: Mild tropical and citrus, definitely some dank earthiness, maybe columbus there. No real alcohol. Not overpowering aroma, pleasant though.
T: Alcohol definitely in the sip, some heat going down. Flavor is melon, grapefruit, orange, maybe even ripe berries. Some sweetness here, enhancing hop flavors. Bitterness perfectly complements the sweetness and hop flavor. This is done well, enjoyable, alcohol definitely detracts from sessionability and helps to create a dry, bitter finish. But overall a well made double IPA.
M: Interesting mouthfeel, medium but carbonation is fairly crisp creating a sensation of dryness. I like it.
O: A solid and recommended DIPA. Fairly well balanced, present but not overpowering bitterness. A bit less alcohol and a bit more hops in aroma and flavor would have boosted this up some more.
