Bottle says enjoy by May 18th. Enjoyed on January 30th.

Appearance: Slightly hazy golden color. Nicely supported head. Moderate lacing to boot. Good looking IPA [4.5/5]
Aroma: Grass and lemon initially, some melon, grapefruit and pine are also present to a lesser extent. Faintest hint of biscuit/toast. Nice aroma for a dry, west-coast-ish IPA. [3.75/5.0]
Taste: Clean, balanced bitterness. The hop flavor balance almost seems inverted from the aroma: the grapefruit and pine are dominant, followed by the mix of melon and the grass/vegetal components. [3.5/5.0]
Feel: Medium-high carbonation. Bitter/resiny and a little dry, but with enough residual sweetness to make it highly drinkable. Comparable to Sculpin in feel, but a little less dry. [4.0]
Overall: Very good DIPA. The aesthetics of this beer make it definitely above average (appearance and feel). The flavor and and aroma aren't quite as good as some of the big names, but I would definitely recommend this beer and will absolutely drink it again. [3.75]

Pours a goldish-orange with a big white foam head that dissipates quickly. A small amount of lacing around the edges.

Lots of citrus hops in the aroma. Bursting with grapefruit, lemon, and orange. A little bit of sweetness going along with the cirrus. Nose finishes up with a burst of pine that is very strong.

The taste follows the nose. Lots of hops right up front, followed by the same bursting grapefruit and a hint of the lemon, with a touch of mango and possibly peach. A little bit of bitterness in the finish. Piney resin comes with the aftertaste. For such a hoppy beer, this is shockingly easy to drink.

Medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. The pine causes a bit of a resinous quality, making it a bit sticky going down.

Overall, this is a fantastic DIPA, once of my favorites so far. Despite the hoppiness, it is incredibly easy to drink, which could make it dangerous.

Finally got some of this after reading a lot of good things about it on this site. It's always great when something lives up to the hype. This is the best DIPA I've had.
A: Pours golden with a hint of orange, little head that goes away quickly
S: Citrusy. Agree with others that the smell is the weakest part of this beer, but so what, because --
T: If you like your big hoppy IPAs on the fruity side as opposed to the piney side, then I don't know how you could improve on this beer. Bells Two Hearted is no longer my favorite IPA.
M: Again, don't know how to improve on this. Huge hop blast but just the right amount of bitter with no soapy ending.
O: As above. If Heady Topper or Pliny the Either are better than this then bring em on.
