Poured into a Voodoo Tulip glass

A-A murky but semi see through Honey Orange color with a nice finger and a half of off white head. Lots of lacing. Some yeast hanging out on the bottom of the glass. Great looking beer.

S- Lush Peach and mango. Pineapple, Citrus, Very tropical but its not a blast of fragrance its very subtle but certainly there.

T- Tropical with some slight pine. You get the Pineapple and mango as well as peach. Slight pine notes that play the background and then a pink grapefruit towards the end. You also get a little honey sweetness in it to round it all out. Let this one settle and warm up a bit it brings out everything in it a lot better.

M- Great mouth feel. I'd say lower end of medium bodied. This beer is scary drinkable and Im not sure what the IBU's are but it isn't intrusive at all. It's bitter but more of a natural grapefruit bitterness to it. Very pleasant.

O- It's tough to not come off as a homer for this one. Victory is on the other side of the state from me so this one is available for a great price point which has made it a main stay as I usually buy it by the case. After drinking so much of this I know this beer hits its sweet spot about 2 weeks after its bottled and packed. They used Simcoe, Chinook, Citra, Mosaic hops on this one and I loved what they did with them. A mix of a few old school hops with some newer tough to get ones. They let the hops control the show in this one but its not quite the hop bomb that a Heady topper is. I wonder what yeast they used in this because I feel like its contributing some of the Mango/peach notes in this one. Either way this is an excellent beer no matter how you cut it even if you don't have to travel to the ends of earth to get it.

bottle into snifter

a: hazy, somewhat transparent beautiful orange. aggressive pour yields about a finger of head. excellent lacing. some floaties. nice!

s: very pungent sweet orange, grapefruit, and peaches in the front. subdued pineapple, pine, tropical fruits, and lemon to follow. i'm also getting the onion/garlic note thing but it's not all that powerful, and i don't find it too offensive. a honey-like sweetness in here too. really strong and great aroma

t: follows the nose. tons of citrusy grapefruit and orange in the front, as well as bursts of mango and passion fruit. mild sweet honey afterwards, then a bit of an onion note. caramel/burnt sugar malt flavours become more prominent in the malt backbone as the beer warms. a spicy and sharp, but not off-putting bitterness enters mid-way through each sip. finishes dry. no alcohol whatsoever. more malt presence would be cool but this still tastes really damn good

m: creamy medium body with good carbonation

o: good stuff. very potent and delicious fruit flavours. the onion notes may be a detractor to some, but other than that, just a really solid double ipa at an unbeatable price

Bought a single at Little's Liquor store. Poured into a snifter.

A&S: Semi-lively transparent pumpkin orange colored beer. Head is initially about a half a finger of white head, but dies quickly. Even with it's lack of much head it still leaves a decent amount of head. Very tropical in the aroma: pineapple, mango, and hints of grapefruit. More sweet sugary tones than bitterness, but it's still a nice bitterness.

T&M: Extremely well balanced between sweet and bitter. Upfront: sweet sugar tones paired with tropical hops and some pine/resin thrown in there. Hints of some peppery spice. The finish adds a pretty decent punch of bitterness, but not overwhelming or dry. Medium to high body, low side of carbonation, very smooth.

Overall: I'm very impressed. Checked the rating after reviewing it and it lives up to the hype. Highly recommend to anyone. On par with the best of the style
