Since I grew up just a half an hour from the brewery, I've visited this quaint little facility and have always had great food, great service and an overall enjoyable experience. As far as I know they only keep their beers on tap. And its always well kept as far as cleanliness. When in Downingtown, check it out.

Destination visit in Downington PA. Large bar area with tables in a hallway off to the side. I was there for lunch, so the din was low and attendance was building. Probably 15-20 beers on tap to choose from, with unstructured samplers competitively priced. Growler fills as well. Broad menu, pretty much what you'd expect with good variety. Nicely made sandwiches which feature the various beers in dipping sauces. The server was quite conversant on the beers and was interested in the tasting I was doing. Finish with a visit to the bottle shop and merch.

This place is absolutely the best! Always have a choice of 4 cask conditioned beers, 3 nitros and at least 15 draughts. The food is excellent and the service is top notch! Cask conditioned Hop Devil is truly liquid crack!!!

The selection here is great, they have a wide variety on tap along with three Nitros and two Casks. The food is solid but nothing great and you can always count on them to have the Phils game on.

My wife and I headed to Downingtown on a lurch this past Sunday. We showed up around 2 PM for a late lunch. The bar area was incredibly crowded, but we were able to get a table in the long corridor leading to the gift shop without any wait.

24 taps, two of which were nitro-dispense. 3 hand-pumps. 6 lagers on, which is always a delight to see, as I think Victory might be the best lager brewery in the country. I had a Braumeister Pils, which was showcasing the Spalt Select hop that day, and a St. Boisterous maibock. Both were in good form and served in lovely Willibecker glasses. My wife had the milk stout on nitro, which was served in a nonic. She enjoyed it.

Victory always has seasonal selection of cheeses and charcuterie and we assembled a nice plate of Maytag Blue, a locally-sourced smoked cheddar, and an Italian truffled sheep's milk cheese, along with some sweet capicola. Nice accompaniments of mustard, baguette, apples, cornichons, and a ridiculously good fig compote. It was perhaps a tad pricey at $23, but the quality was sky high.

Our server was very attentive, in spite of the place being incredibly crowded.

I took the opportunity to have a growler filled with their Round Robin, a draft-only Franconian lager. Victory has beautiful swing-top growlers with metal handles. The glass was a reasonable $16 and the fill was an even more reasonable $8.25. We then strolled over to the adjacent gift shop, and I picked up a Prima Pils glass and one of those lovely Willibeckers.

Victory is a must try, especially if you love lager. It's about an hour drive for us, but it was worth every minute.

Victory is a really cool brewery with cool facilities. They specialize in German and Czech style beers, which is cool if it's your style (it's not mine, mostly), and they've got good people with a lot of knowledge making their beer.

It's hard to be objective with my hometown brewery, but I'll try. Victory is a great place to grab a pint in Downingtown. It's a large place (plenty of seating and bar space) and they have a phenomenal beer selection, with at least 10-15 of their brews on tap at all times. The food is tasty, and we always try to stop in when we're in town.

This place is under rated. It's true some of their beer is crap for the masses, and some of the food could be better, BUT there is ALWAYS something here that is in the top 10 best places in the USA.
You just gotta know what it is.

Great changing menus with a wide selection of Victory favorite beers. Want a treat? Try the ice cream. Get there early for dinners and weekend lunches.

I really enjoy having Victory so close to me. The staff is very nice and knows their stuff. The beer selection is great and the food selection and preparation is very well done.

I live 15 minutes away, so I like going here. 30 beers on tap and decent food. It does get really busy and the service suffers. Had a bartender who was bitching about giving samples and starting charging for them - fucking seriously? The place still rocks.

PLACE/PHYSICAL ASSETS: Visited Victory while in town for Thanksgiving. I was immediately surprised by how HUGE this place is - WOW, it's giant. Very long bar (that was incredibly packed to the gills), huge dining hall, and numerous adjacent rooms with food and beer service.

BEER: I always judge breweries on beer offerings available on-site not available elsewhere/to the general public, and Victory did not disappoint. Their D'Town Drafts selection was pretty great, and had something for just about any palate preference. The highlight of the evening was the Earth and Flame bourbon barrel aged scotch ale. Just a really well-balanced beer despite a lofty ABV. Highly recommend this in bottles (as they just released them). They also have a beautiful growler - one of the nicer I've seen.

FOOD: The food was pretty good for a brewery. Definitely perfect for soaking up beer. Had the hummus and the pulled pork sandwich (which was tremendous, actually).

Overall, Victory is definitely worth a stop, and locals certainly were there in great number.

A lot of fun, but having just come from Troegs, was a little letdown. Vibe was more restaurant than beerhall, but I plan to return with an open mind a clean palate.

Victory beer is available at a lot of places, and the few bar-only, draft-only options aren't that great. That being said, it's really nice to be able to try really fresh versions of their standard offerings, and also try neat variants like having HopDevil Draught side-by-side with HopDevil Nitro, HopDevil Cask, and HopDevil in bottles.

Their food is really good pub food that often incorporates their beer into the recipe.

I had not been to Victory in years, and when the wife and I arrived there on a sunny, late-summer Saturday evening, the place was the madhouse we expected it to be. Packed, loud and full of babies and children. But we got a spot in the bar area and quickly ordered some beers, followed by dinner at a table after a short wait. Despite the size and the crowds, they seem to manage the spot pretty smartly.

25 beers on tap is a damn fine amount, running the gamut from HopDevil to Storm King, DirtWolf, Golden Monkey, Noble IPA, Wild Devil, Rye IPA, Green House Saison and more. A bit for everyone, all served in full pints at excellent prices (under six dollars for Storm and DirtWolf). Three casks as well, and two bottles (White Monkey and V-12).

The food menu is as massive as the Victory operation itself, and it comes with new additions every day. We had some gnocchi, a small pizza, an eggplant dish and handmade chips. Good stuff overall. Not high-end good, but satisfying and well made. The emphasis on local ingredients is a nice touch.

At around sixty bucks for a bunch of beers and all that food, I didn’t find Victory to be expensive. Will definitely come back!

As good as it gets!!!! Decor, staff and beers are great. Brewery tour was fantastic. Merch shop is tops. They should expand it. They have a Cornucopia of beers. I'm usually not a flight/sampler guy but it is worth it here.

Food is awesome, beer is awesome! They need an outdoor patio! The tour was really cool and you could bring your beer along. The also have a store with apparel and other Victory items that is good to check out. I got growler of Hop Wallop to go. My favorite brewery by far

Prices are reasonable, consistent with Brewpubs, maybe a little lower than average. Portabella grinder is fantastic. It is no longer on the menu, but you can ask for it. Pair with a Summer Love in the warmer months and a Prima Pils any other time.

Only downside is that it can be quite noisy and hard to hear conversations even within your booth.

The beer is great. Food is good. The issue can be acoustics: depending on where seated the noise level can be overwhelming. It’s better, less loud, at bar than in dining room. The people in the case store are very knowledgeable & helpful. Love the beer! Like this place.

My wife and I just spent a Saturday afternoon and Sunday lunch at Victory for our Anniversary, and we could not have been more impressed. Every single person that we came in contact with was cheerful and helpful. Seriously. Their selection of brewery-only drafts is really fun, and delicious. Try a casked Hop Devil; you won't believe your tastebuds. The food on the menu was outstanding fare, excellent and filling, and better than the usual pub menu by a thousand fold.
DO NOT FORGET to bring your growler, like I did. But if you do, they sell these killer stainless steel minis and the tradional glass. Stock up.

Absolutely dreadful dining experience here. Overrun by small children who're running around/screaming/crying. Not a destination for adults unless they're desperate to drag the kids somewhere and add to the huddled masses of this gargantuan brewpub. Food is dreadful - particularly the wings, which are inexplicably breaded - and the service is just as bad. Hey, the beer is good! The folks in the bottle shop are friendly and case prices can't be beat. Other than that - steer clear.

Not much in the way of limited release stuff, was kind of expecting a little more. The food was standard bar fare, again I was expecting a little more. The beers they do have a very good, not great but very good. Just fell a little short of expectations.

This microbrewery is in my town....I guess my review isn't completely unbiased. We moved to Downingtown in 1997. Victory Brewing wasn't quite as famous then as it is now. In fact, it took us a while to "discover" it. They didn't even have a brew pub when I first found out about it. Just two beer lovers who made a good beer (Prima Pils), won awards, and....the rest is history.

Over the last few years, we've been going to the brew pub. It's nice to have a place with a lot of local flavor which doesn't close until late. Most places in Downingtown are quiet after 10:00 pm but not Victory's brew pub. Always has a lot of people. Families. Couples. Young professionals. College kids. A good mix.

The service is decent and the food is excellent. We are vegetarian and we always find something here that pleases the whole family including the kids. The best part of course is the selection of Victory's beers. The beers are fresh and taste a little better than what's sold in bottles at the store. Plus the brewery usually has something on tap that they're not selling in bottles. You can also try their sampler -- I've loved it in the past, although I know my tastes better now and stick to mostly the tried and tested or --- if the description is really attractive --- might try something new once in a rare while.

A *must* visit on your beer tour...and try the Prima Pils here -- it's fresh and compare it to how you remember it from a bottle.
