Very drinkable. Nice bit of hops, light but not dull. Prefer to some other pale ales that are as equally drinkable due to its sharper backbone.

Unknown vintage; drank 9/7/15 @ the Yarchives.

See-through yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE white head; frothy lace.

Lemon, wheat & dandelion notes in the nose.

Thin mouthfeel.

Lemon flavor up front; dry wheat finish. A basic, sessionable APA. Decent.

Pours a clear, golden straw with little carbonation. A thin, white head. Leabves good lacing.
Goid citrus hop smell with malt.
Goid, bitter, citrus hop with very little malt presence. I like it.
Crisp mouthfeel, crushable.

bsWish I had read the label more closely before buying. The tipoff that this is an unpleasant-to-drink pale ale is that it's brewed by Pollyanna in Lemont - another brewery that produces mediocre and even just plain bad beers. I've been to the brewery once and was asked by the bartender what I thought of their IPA once I had a taste. I said that it was harsh at the finish, and he asked me repeatedly what I meant by "the finish" (hint: it kinda means the aftertaste). At any rate, Mazzie APA presents one's palate with a collision of incompatible flavors (sharp citrus and an undefinable dishwater taste) that leave one wanting a Ritz cracker to cleanse the taste buds. Skip this one.

Had this on 2018-02-03 in Lemont, IL at the brewery

A - Clear gold white head

S - Citrus. Mild earthy spice.

T - Citrus flesh, lemon grass spice. Little malt. Mildly bitter and very dry

M - Light body and medium carbonation.

O - Tasty but I like more malt in my APAs.
