16oz undated can poured into a snifter shows a clear, orange-gold body boasting a 1" proud head of white bubbles that leaves stepped, webbed lacing.
Pine and grapefruit aroma dominate but a honey based sweetness makes its presence known as well.
Strong hop bitterness led by pine and grapefruit pith is almost tempered with honey.
Mouthfeel is full, barely sticky, and remains on the palate.
Overall, clearly a double. The bitterness is appropriate for the stated ibu.

22 oz. bottle, no bottled on date present. Bottled two days ago, and delivered fresh to the local beer shop. My first big bomber from Pollyanna Brewing - "Ale brewed with honey", and at 100 IBU, this should be a hit.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter.
A - Pours a golden honeyed orange body, half finger of frothy white head that dies down to a ring quickly, leaving some thin sticky spotty lacing intricacies within. Appears aptly carbonated. Looks very good.
S - Aroma is nice, fresh, & floral - the additions from the Illinois wildflower honey are soft but distinct. Crystal / caramel type malt presence.
T - Taste follows the nose: beautiful wildflower honey is wonderfully placed into the beer. Notes of orange marmalade and fresh citrus peel / zest are present. Very delicate and complex drinking stuff with excellent balance; never cloying / too sweet.
M - Feel is silky smooth & creamy, very easy drinking for the moderately high abv.
Overall, a very nice honeyed DIPA from Pollyanna. Definitely recommended stuff; tastes no where near as bitter as you would expect from a 100 IBU beer.
Pollyanna Brewing Ocular Double IPA -----4/5.

Drat at Map Room, served in a tulip glass.
Bright orange color with sharp clarity, long lasting drippy lacing all around the glass.
Pungent aroma, lightly dank and tropical with some pineapple traces.
Tastes a bit more resiny and bitter, with some light pineapple and grapefruit peel notes.
Medium bodied, on the lighter dry side, with ample carbonation. ABV is well hidden.
Overall this is nice stuff, and i'd drink it again.

It's fine for what it is - a total hop bomb.
