500 ml can, shared by abemorsten. ABV is 4.9%. Pale golden colour, moderate to low white head. Sweetish aroma, notes of pilsener wort, maize and over-cooked vegetables. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is bland and fairly uninteresting, but not undrinkable. Hints of over-cooked vegetables again.

A little more german/czech influence on the breading of this beer, giving it more of a pilsener crispness, and thank God, because otherwise this beer is pretty boring. Taste is adjuncts, especially grain, with some herbal tendencies. Smell is wheat forward and not much else. Body is golden, thin, and a little watery.

This is an excellent pislner/helles type, a characterful, well-rounded pale lager in the traditional German/Czech vein. I had if repeatedly in bottle and on tap in BiH. It is golden with a big white head, lasting, some lace. Aroma is nice grain, grass, herb. Taste is excellent light grain-bread sweetness, hint of apple, lots or herbal, grassy hop. Sweetness is light but firm with good hop bitterness to balance out nicely. I had numerous beers on my travels on this trip through Bosnia, Montenegro, and Albania, including Efes (which I first had in Turkey in 200 and have always found enjoyable),, Niksicko, Korca and other Albanian beers, and some others from BiH and this was the best of the pale lagers by far. It had the strongest hop character and the best complexity. It is an excellent example of a helles or Czech pislner genre.

Probably a prototypical bland lager. It's in a green bottle and mine was obviously light damaged so it tasted like skunk.

This is another European standard lager. Clear and light bodied, with a more pronounced bitterness than usual. Decent and easy to drink.

Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. Musty, yeasty aroma, pale golden body with slight creamy head. Taste is bread, flat and uninteresting. Typical pale lager, no finish, some sour, yeasty aftertaste.
