Pours a hazed honeyed-golden color with a big thicket of sustaining light tan head. Good stickage throughout each sip. Aromas of subtle musty, dusty funk with some light notes of pale candi sugar and malt, clover honey, pear skin, and honeysuckle blossoms. Somewhat dry in the finish; it retains a pear-like fruitiness in its subtle sweetness, and is prickly in the carbonation, translating the flavor slightly into a seltzery, somewhat minerally quality. A pretty decent blonde that is approachable, yet not extraordinary.

330ml squat, bulbous bottle - one of the non-organic, non-GF versions from this brewery, I presume?

This beer pours a rather hazy, medium golden amber hue, with three fat fingers of puffy, frothy, and generally creamy off-white head, which leaves a few disintegrating towers of soap scum lace around the glass as things slowly seep away.

It smells of gritty, grainy pale malt, white pepper and clove spice, earthy yeast, mixed light orchard fruit, a bit of hay-like grassiness, and softly lilting alcohol esters. The taste is much more of the same - dry, bready, crackery pale malt, muddled savoury spice, restrained (for a Belgian offering, anyway) yeast, banana chips, and other sundry dried drupe fruit, and once again, some subtle booze emanations.

The carbonation is fairly easy-going and barely perceptible after its initial spastic outburst, the body an adequate medium weight, and generally smooth, nothing really in the mood to muss that up here. It finishes well off-dry, the pale malt gaining a few sweet caramel notes, perhaps due to the booze, or maybe the lingering pear and apple fruitiness, hard to say.

A decently rendered version of the style, the purported strength doled out in small measures, at most. Well rounded, with any and all hallmarks that one might be seeking in such a brew - plain malt, yeast, fruit, and booze, full stop, without the wonderment about what might be missing due to gluten protein manipulation after the fact.

Pours hazy golden, huge head forming up almost spilling out of the glass. Sticky retention.
Smells of light grains, acidic fruit, citrus and Belgian spices.
Sweet acidic fruit, with red apple, yellow pear, white grapes, mixed with some sweet oranges, light banana and pineapple, really nice. Malts are mild and sweet, cloying just a little. Belgian sugars, light hints of honey also. Spicy yeasts, bringing clove, low vanilla, some nice prickly pepper.
Somewhat citrusy and green hops, bitter in the finish.
There's a big acidity and mineral feel to this one, quite fizzy also, getting burpy, quite a bit unbalanced.
Too bad, taste was really nice, but the body and some off notes are in the way.

Bottle pour at the BevMo Holiday Beerfest held at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, spices, fruit, and yeast. Taste is much the same with a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but I think it smells better than it tastes.
