12 oz can into New Belgium "snifter".

Pours a gorgeous hazy red-orange amber. Big fluffy 1.5 finger head that doesn't want to go away. Leaving some nice sticky, slightly soapy, lacing on the glass. It's got some legs!

BIG wave of fresh, bright, spicy ginger on the nose that intermingles beautifully with citrus and floral notes. An amazing nose here. I can't believe how well the hops and the ginger come together to create an aroma like I've not smelled before! Taste comes through with a lot of ginger. Wow. Strong floral notes and a bit of citrus come and go, making way for some nice biscuity malt character on the back end. I get a subtle spice from the malt...rye? The body nicely backs up the fairly complex flavors, but the taste just doesn't come through with quite the oomph of the nose. Wish it did! Overall, a pleasant surprise! Can't say I was super excited about this one, as I'm not a huge fan of ginger, but I'm glad I got it as an extra! Not sure I'd buy it, or drink more than one at a time, but overall pretty cool. Thanks DanforthPewter!

Orangey dark copper colored, very clear with a frothy head of eggshell colored foam that lingers long. Aroma of subtle hops and ginger, though I might not have been able to identify the flavor if I hadn't known already. Ginger and hops go surprisingly well together. Ginger adds a bit of a spicy kick, but it's well balanced with the hops. Full mouthfeel, creamy and round, very nice. Interesting and tasty beer.

Had on tap at KC's Pub in Guilford, poured a darker color than expected, almost brown. Smells of a light ginger note and some resinous hops. The taste is really great, but I can see why this is such a polarizing beer. It's not super hoppy like an IPA. It's quite sweet with some herbal notes in the middle. Finishes with a touch of ginger, nothing excessive. It's drinkable and tasty, but I feel it should be categorized more as a brown ale than an IPA.

Received as an extra in a trade and am very pleasantly surprised. Canned 2/11/15, nice and hoppy, ginger is a pleasant addition. Really enjoyed this one!

Rust water brown with with a hint of orange is the color of this beer. Nice and clear with light pearling. Thick foamy head on the top that slowly fades to a thin lace. Hints of hops on the nose with a slight sweetness blended in. Taste is the typical IPA with hops up front. Piney and bitter but learking ins a light hint of ginger, not overpowering but it makes itself present. Clean on the pallet and easily enjoyable. A nice IPA.

From a growler fill.

Beer pours red with a good amount of carbonation. Ginger flavor works great with the choosen hops. At first this seems like a gimmick beer, but is actually quite tasty and something I would get often.

Significantly more balanced (read: better) after a few weeks of age on the can.

12oz can with 01/06/2015 stamped on the underside of the can. Pours a brownish dark orange color with 1/4 inch of head. The aroma is finger with some dank and herbal hops as well as some light bready notes. The taste is ginger and herbal hops up front followed by some more bread. Dank and piney towards the end. Ginger and herbal hop finish. Slick with a slightly oily mouthfeel. The ginger is borderline too much at times which makes this a beer I couldn't drink a few of in one sitting. Still it is a solid and different IPA. Overall, I'd grab it every once in a while.

A little too much ginger for my taste. So much so, it has the ginger burn on the way down. Worth a try to say you had it...once.

Nothing special. Just a regular IPA. About as exciting as Arbor Day.

You can taste the hint of ginger. Good for 1 or 2. The taste might become old after that.

Pours a hazy orange/red color with an off white head that trails the glass as you drink it. The smell is full of both citrus and ginger, both giving off very strong flavors. The taste was very strong with the ginger up front before giving way to citrus and pine from the hops. I didn't get much malt in this one. Overall I thought it was interesting, but just not right for me.

Love this stuff. Crisp hoppiness is balanced out with the ginger, little bit of citrus and floral. One of my favorites, and it sells out at my liquor store quick.
