jack nicholson, peter fonda and dennis hopper made a movie about a man that went looking for america and couldn’t find it anywhere. our rye ipa gets your motor runnin’, but won’t burn you out. we chopped down the abv on our session style rye so you can cruise on it all day long. take it easy, have a few and remember it’s all about freedom man. lean back and take a long slow sip paired up with an aged grassy cheddar from carr valley creamery in wisconsin, home of the harley davidson. ride responsibly! a percent of proceeds from the sale of our easy rye’da ipa go to the national motorcycle safety foundation.

Had at the stony creek brewery as a guest tap, poured into a pint glass. Cloudy and golden with a white head. Decent aroma of tart rye and a nice hop note. Flavor starts slightly sweet and a little tart, lemon flavors come from the hops at the end, finishes a bit bitter. Nice, easy drinking IPA.

A: The beer is very hazy amber yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high dense light beige colored head that died down, leaving lacing on the surface and a thin coating of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of spicy rye are present in the nose along with hints of citrusy hops.
T: The taste starts off with flavors of citrusy hops and finishes off with spicy notes from the rye. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a nice balance between the citrusy hops and spicy rye. It goes down easily can can be considered sessionable.

Picked up a cold 6 pk of cans from local package store- $12 for a 6pk- I am a lover of all things rye and especially love a good dose of rye in my beer. This one had a soft citrus aroma, poured a nice orange color. Very little head, probably about 1/10 of an inch and it faded quick. Pretty highly carbonated with a great rye punch. But the overall taste, IMO, was a little watered down and a little too carbonated. You don't get much of the hop flavor on the palate. Not my favorite by any means, I would drink it at a restaurant of there weren't any better options and I would suggest that the Brewers up the grain bill slightly to get a little more solid background to avoid the watered down Taste is currently has.
