Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper made a movie about a man that went looking for America and couldn’t find it anywhere. our Rye IPA gets your motor runnin’, but won’t burn you out. We chopped down the ABV on our Session-style Rye so you can cruise on it all day long. Take it easy, have a few and remember - it’s all about freedom, man. Lean back and take a long slow sip paired up with an aged grassy cheddar from Carr Valley Creamery in Wisconsin, home of the Harley Davidson. Ride responsibly! Poured can to glass...with nice golden/amber color, small foam with lil' lacing. Aroma was nice mild baked rye bread... and for the tatse it was a very nice rye with spicy notes and citrus undertones. It had nice carbination that gives it that extra spice kick and very good for a rye. All in all it was a surpising "rye" eye opener. A must try rye.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is slightly hazy light copper; head presents about 1/2 inch thick and lingers well with at least 1/4 inch top with some good lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is earthy, herbal, bits toasted malt

Taste is similar with earthy rye, light biting pepper like flavor, some herbal like hops and basic malt.

Mouthfeel is crisp, moderate carbonation, stronger drying bitterness.

Overall an herbal toasty spin creates a solid lighter ipa with the rye twist.

Light honey Amber. Not much head or lacing. Smell is of rye bread, some citrus comes thru.
Taste is smooth, butter rye bread and pepper adds a crisp edge.
Finish is medium body and enough carbonation to add zest.

The rye expression on this beer is decent - a nice husky spice - but the hop element is a bit too bitter and has vague buttery qualities to it, just decent

-can to spiegelau ipa glass.

A: Dark rustic orange with a lively sense of carbonation. One inch bready, frothy head sticks nicely. Thick smothering vessel coating lace.

S: Freshly squeezed citrus-grapefruit aroma with a lively peppery flair. Bright oranges and lemons which are juicy. Toasted malt and grassy hops rounds things out on the fade. Nice level.

T: Nice peppery flair highlights a tart grapefruit and citrus hop flavored body. Some juicy tropical (pineapple) mixes with some dank orange and tart dryness of lemon peel. Pine hops are light and dry with complimentary notes of peppercorn and dry citrus. Really big spicy finish.

M: Spicy and lively carbonation, peppery warmth, with a good fulfilling malt body.

O: Overall labeled a session style ipa, you would never have guessed blind drinking. Nice big peppery flair from the rye, with juicy and tart hops, big citrusy love of grapefruit with a small mixture of tropical juice. Very strong spicy rye finish will make you keep on drinking.

12 oz. Can 5.5 % abv.

A clear and lively golden color with a vety healthy, frosty, sea foamy white cap, bunches of lace, well retained.

The nose is full of fresh smelling, earthy and dense hops. Tangy citrus, pine, black pepper, dried golden wheat and assorted tropical fruity notes.

The mouth feel and body is light, crisp and dry in the finish. The hop flavor is mostly bitter, earthy notes of grains and a sour fruity tanginess. High-toned earthy flavor brings it all back home from the fields and farmhouse. Lush, smooth, earthy and bitter complexity from a session style IPA makes for some interesting discussion.

Dry, leafy, herbal and bitter hops abound from the otherwise crisp session brew.

From a can.

A hazy orange with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose has quite a bit of rye - grainy, spicy, bready, mildly caramelized - along with a moderate hop character. There's a blend of candied grapefruit pith and mandarin present. The palate opens with a rather delicious rye character - grainy with a spicy white pepper note, along with the earthy and mildly tannic notes that rye imparts. This grainy bitterness is complemented rather excellently by the citrus fruit and grapefruit bitterness. Drying on the finish, this beer has a mild rye oily fullness to the palate, allowing the hop oils to linger. Really good.

Poured from a can into pint glass. Very large foamy head, unfiltered cloudy deep golden color.
Great smell of citris with crunchy mouth feel. Great taste for 4.8 ABV session IPA. This would make a great back yard summer beer or any occasion that you want to have several but not feel the effect .
