Sampled from a 22oz bottle, many thanks to you bennybrew.
Appearance: Trill of smoke curls in the neck of the bottle as soon as the cap comes off. Pours a deep mahogany brown, nearly black with a huge beige head that quickly forms.
Smell: Intense chocolate from the initial pour that is nearly overwhelming. After the initial pour the chocolate is tamed a little as the scents of coffee and roasted malt roll off the Mountain. Hints of carmel, toffee, and hops help scroud the mountain in a aroma blanket like a thick fog.
Taste: Sweet roasted chocolate malt. Like fresh from the dairy chocolate milk with dark chocolate. Subtle coffee flavors remind me of fine chocolate covered coffee beans. A slight coffee bitterness helps to balance the sweetness of the malt.
Mouthfeel: Chewy, creaminess, with a smooth coating like milk. Slightly dry finish, but not compared to most dry stouts.
Drinkability: Complete. The sweetmalt, chocolate, and coffee flavors make this a top beer in my book, no matter the style. Wonderfully drinkable, if this was available here I would drink it everyday.
