Party Source provides a beer bar, liquor tasting, and wine tasting. They get everything and are the BIG sellers in the game.

Sadly they want to ask you to join a 200 dollar a year subscription service to get access to the best beers. Their staff ranges from really great and helpful to honestly just jerks. The higher up the worse they can be. Honestly since they've start offering all these really cool services they've gotten worse and worse to work with to get even relatively limited beers.

If you're just looking for a large selection and good quality. They're well priced and provide good options. If you want bourbon county stout, just go elsewhere, they won't even be honest with you. They'll just tell you they didn't get any.

All that said walls of sours, great imports, and stacks of cases of limited things such as founders harvest. A true asset to the community. (892 characters)

After years hearing about The Party Source, I finally found some time to make the drive to Kentucky. Here are some of the longest beer and liquor aisles you will ever see! A really good selection of locals. An amazing international selection. I didn't see any hot new limited releases on the shelves, and I didn't ask "what do you have in the back." I guess I was hoping to see more hard-to-find beers than one might find in other stores in the tri-state area. I think they probably sell out pretty quickly since they have such a big draw. Easy to get to and easy parking. If you're driving through on I-75 or I-71, plan on taking a nice long stop at The Party Source. (676 characters)

I'm fairly certain this place was recently considered the largest liquor / beer store in the continental United States. And it probably is. It's easily the size of most grocery stores, carrying nothing but beer, wine, liquor, mixers, glassware, and some party food items. I'll put it this way - there are multiple Wal-Mart sized aisles for just bourbon.

There's a distillery in the parking lot now, and a brewery and taproom in the back that has 40-plus taps and various events like Rare Barrel Mondays (including things like Prairie Christmas Bomb! and Bourbon County Brand Barleywine). When you're looking at a place that carries virtually every whiskey ever distilled and over 70 different types of gin, you're also looking at a mighty fine place to stop in and grab some beer - especially if you're used to Ohio, where if a beer is over 12% ABV, it can't legally be sold.

I would put the craft beer selection here up against any other location in the US, easily, except perhaps the grounds at GABF during said fest (and maybe even then, there's a serious array of imports as well). I have yet to hear of any beer distributed to Kentucky that this store has not gotten hold of and put on the shelf and/or on tap, and if they do not have it, they will do their level best to order it in upon request. I have seen multiple cases of Crooked Stave saisons and Evil Twin stouts stacked in displays in the middle of the floor, and there's entire shelves dedicated to Mikkeller, De Molen, and so forth. The keg selection in the walk-in (more like the size of a car dealership garage drive-in) is completely unreal - sixth, quarter, and even full kegs of all manner of craft beer.

The place is ridiculous. It's the size of a Target, and it's all alcohol and assorted alcohol supplies. (1,782 characters)

The Party Source is a fantastic store. Incredible beer department with a massive variety. They also have an onsite brewery and taproom (Ei8htBall Brewing). Huge liquor department and a walk-in cigar humidor as well. A must stop if you're in the area. (254 characters)

They bill themselves as something like "the biggest beverage store in America". I wouldn't doubt it! This place is truly massive. Their bourbon selection (we're in Kentucky after all) is enough to keep me perusing the aisles for hours. They also have a tasting bar where you can get pours of unique spirits ranging from rare bourbons to expensive mezcal varietals.

The beer selection is quite outrageous as well. I saw 16 different types of De Molen brews. SIXTEEN! Plus dozens of Mikkeller bottles and a section called "creme de la creme" that has rare stuff like Mikkeller Black Hole, Barrel Aged Black Weasel, Mikkeller George Calvados, De Molen Barrel Aged Hel & Verdoemenis and more.

Besides these goodies, Party Source has bombers and six packs from pretty much every major brewery in America. The beer guy is nice and helpful, and just past the retail store you'll find Eight Ball Brewing! Too much boozy fun, I'm telling you. (937 characters)

I used to drive past this place all the time, but never went in due to its exterior. It basically looks like a Walmart of party supply places, and their logo doesn't help. I figured it's all plastic leis and metallic streamers, right?

Wrong. It was recommended by a friend that I go inside, and man I'm glad I did. They have a bunch of sale wines and spirits at their entry door, which is a little overwhelming for hitting you the moment you enter. I usually pass right by them. The first few aisles are that Walmart party supply I mentioned, but walk past those and you're finally in alcohol heaven. There are rows upon rows of wines, ranging from a few bucks a bottle to hundreds of dollars a bottle. If they don't have it, they'll get it for you.

I'm a spirits girl, and their spirits selection is second to none. They of course have all the national brands, all the national brands' varieties (Laphroaig Quarter Cask, zomg!), and a hefty selection of craft brands. They employ several conoisseurs on staff, and the last time I was in they were doing an $8 bourbon flight tasting (which included Pappy van Winkle, mind you). The guy was extremely knowledgeable of all things bourbon, scotch, and oddly enough, mezcal (which we actually ended up buying, $60 a bottle for some fantastic stuff, and I'm not even a mezcal girl). They also have a great selection of mixers, syrups, and bitters.

Their beer section is equally formidable, covering an entire back wall (that's a Walmart sized wall), plus its own little section including ciders and so on. The selection is fantastic, randing from singles to six-packs (or four-packs) to bombers and kegs. There is also a huge cold storage section in addition to room temperature display. There is an onsite brewery (which is expanding) where they hold tastings and other events. I like to stop and just pick up a random new beer to try periodically, if I haven't already blown my budget on liquor before I even reach the beer section in the back.

As I mentioned before, if they don't have it in stock, they'll get it for you (or give you a really good reason why they can't, such as the distillery/brewery losing its distributor). They're also very active on their Facebook page and will answer a question the same day. Check the place out, and make sure you budget for it. You'll find a lot! (2,341 characters)

amazing. A store the size of a krogers with nothing but alcohol wine and beer. I try to make a stop by this excellent store every time that I am in the cincinnati area. Over the years it is easy for me to say that I have definitely got my biggest and greatest scores from this place. (283 characters)

Stopped here on Saturday to pick up some goodies. Excellent choice.

The store is set up as a large warehouse, so don't expect much on atmosphere. Pretty self-explanatory there. The one beer guy I encountered, however, was very helpful. It was Memorial Day weekend, so saying that they were busy in an understatement.

The selection here is absolutely stellar. With designated sections of bombers, singles, and six packs (both cold and warm storage), there is no shortage of selection here. While you may not be able to find anything incredibly rare, most of the craft and import goodies in northern KY are to be found here. One thing that caught my eye was Barrel Aged Old Rasputin as well as plentiful amounts of Stone's IRS and Espresso IRS. There were a few outdated beers I ran across, but with a store of this size, that's in the peripherals - seems like they had a quick enough turnover rate to not have to worry about much stale beer anyway.

If I lived closer (currently live an hour away), I would absolutely come here regularly for the stellar selection and great prices. Absolutely worth checking out if you're in the northern KY/greater Cincinnati area. (1,166 characters)

Plenty of parking. When entering you past the demo kitchen, grocery and party section. Large wine and spirts section. in the corner BEER! This place has a bit of everything in its selection. Always rotating grower selections The cold mix and match display is a great way to try new brews, (have not come across a bigger one). Plenty of beers from all over the world. its easy to spend quite a lot of time and money walking around the aisles. its my primary craft beer shopping stop for good reason. (498 characters)

Big store with big selection. Massive cold beer storage. A lot of people seem to forget that this place ships beer to. Staff is friendly and overall pretty knowledgable. The only real downside to this place is that it gets real packed from time to time. Also finding rare beers (less than 3 cases) is almost impossible. (319 characters)

Never been inside here, this review is strictly based on a web order. Believer or not, my friend and I actually drove by the front of store 3 years ago while staying in Cincinnati. But it's beyond me why I did not stop by then.
Lots of beer that I cannot get in California. There are a bunch of singles to choose from (Schlafly, Christian-Moerlein, Founder's, Bell's, Two Brothers, Summit). There are numerous bombers to choose from too. Too bad lots of stuff are out-of-stock, probably due to the high turnover rates.
Service is simply impeccable. The beer guy (Danny) called me on what's out and recommended stuff available. I even got to buy some stuff not listed on the website. Packaging is immaculate, I could have sworn the bottles won't break if dropped from a second-story height.
Shipping is Fedex, pretty much in line with other sites cost-wise. Overall a great experience. Great communications (essential for web orders) and selections. (949 characters)

This is not my usual beer store since it is a bit out of the way for me, but I have shopped here a few times and have always had good experiences. The store is large, clean, and well-organized. They have a very, very nice selection of craft beer and glassware. Prices are good, they have a terrific growler station, and you can buy singles out of the ``beer cave'' and build your own sixpack. However, my favorite thing about this store isn't even the store itself -- it's their website! They generally post their stock on their website and they do a pretty good job of keeping it up-to-date. Want to know if Founders Double Trouble has arrived yet? Easy; just check out their website and see if it's in stock! Usually when I decide to visit this store I'm in and out really fast because I already know what I'm buying when I walk in the door. Plus, the (new?) fellow in charge of beers is really friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He has gone all-out and brought tons of new beers to the store. Their selection of imports is now the best I've seen in the Cincinnati area. For these reasons, they get 5/5 in both the ``service'' and ``selection'' categories from me. (1,169 characters)

Nice clean store with a good beer selection. I like visiting this store as there are a few breweries that distribute to ky that I don't get in oh. There always seems to be an employee on staff in the area who will help find things and are knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable. Ex., they had founders breakfast stout (it was gone) listed at 10.79, where I paid 12.99. The only drawback is that it's a heavily trafficked store so getting those rare/limited releases is unlikely.
They also have a growler fill station with about 6 taps, but no samples, that I am aware of. (569 characters)

I'm in here all the time and can recommend it to anybody living in(or passing through) the Cincinnati/Northern KY area. Great selection overall(wine, liquor, beer, cigars, etc), but the focus on this site is beer, so I'll zoom in on that. There is a good selection of singles, sixers, and kegs in the walk-in refrigerated 'beer cave'. Decent growler selection across 8 taps.

As for food, they have a wide assortment of cheeses, including Cypriot halloumi(somewhat of a rarity). Lots of party related foods- chips, cheeses, pates, snacks, etc. food for most kinds of occasions.

Another draw to the store is its frequent cooking courses and beer tastings(weekly on Thursdays).

The service can be kinda spotty- it's pretty clear that they have 'a couple beer guys', 'a couple wine guys', 'a couple cigar guys', and so on. And that when they step outside their circle of expertise, well, it's frustrating. It evens out, though. Sometimes the service is great, but sometimes, it can be a little frustrating. (1,006 characters)

One of the best places in the Greater Cincinnati/NKY area to get anything beer related. 8 rotating taps for growlers & tastings, a steady influx of Schlafly, GL, Three Floyds, Heavy Seas, Founders yearlys, seasonals and occasionally limiteds. Every macro and major import can be found without a problem, along with a good choice of Belgians, just wish they did more to get the local NKY/Ohio/SE Indiana breweries like Brew Kettle, Red Ear & Great Crescent in stock.

Decent party food & glassware selection, not to mention every other type of alcohol under the sun. Parking lot is so big that area businesspeople park near the end of the lot and never even think about getting towed. Beer service used to be outstanding, but now many of their employees are just that -- people who happen to work there but know little about the brews. Not always, but certainly most of the time. (878 characters)

If i was a certain faith, This would be Meca!!

Parking ample. Large lot. Well lite with outdoor seating.

I heard radio interviews with "Beer Dave", got me into this whole craft beer thing. Did not meet him nor did i ask.

Awesome selection of regional and national beers. Belles,Founders, Goose, Moerlien,Hudy, BBC, Kuntucky.Rare Sammy Adams. Found many, bought many.
Also at least six craft on draft for growlers and tastes and pints.

Good value i thought for the case plus glassware i bought.

A must stop!! (513 characters)

Party Source is a big box liquor, etc. store, so it doesn't get much on atmosphere. The selection includes many Midwest goodies such as Bell's, Great Lakes, and locals like Rivertown and Mt. Carmel. Other domestics are decently represented, too. Their foreign collection is as good as any in the area. The staff is always helpful and persistent in getting me the info that I need about a product. They are also very responsive with email questions, too.

The front of the store has a small growler station, which is always filled with an interesting mix of brews. Their pricing for a growler fill is a little on the high end, when compared to other stores in the area. (669 characters)

I stopped by this massive store the other day while taking a full day trip to Cincinnati. It wasn't too far south of Cincy at all and well worth the stop. It has a massive selection of spirits, a nice grocery area, and a good amount of beers not easily found outside of Ohio/Kentucky. They had three bombers from Three Floyds (Blackheart, Dreadnaught, and Gorch Fock), which I didn't expect to find. They also had an unblended lambic I'd never seen before, Rivertown Brewing Co. Lambic. They have a wall of American and Belgian craft that is pretty extensive, which leads to a walk in cooler that is pretty huge. They have a lot of singles chilled and ready to go. One of their strengths is their selection of kegs. They had probably over a hundred sixth barrels, which was insane. This is a good stop and is a fine substitute if you can't make it across to Cincinnati. (869 characters)

This is a MUST stop for anyone in the Cincinnati area. Right across the 471 bridge in Bellevue a bit down the street from Newport on the Levee. Massive selection, great service, the beer staff (when you can catch one) are fairly knowledgable. Good tastings on Wednesday evenings (but they can be pricier than most)
My only complaint here is that getting harder to find beers is damn near impossible. Inventory moves incredibly fast and even though they get in more of most rare beers than anywhere else in town they sell out faster than anywhere else. (551 characters)

I like this place whenever I can stop in on my many trips to and from Ohio... The selection is unreal. Its almost too big and way too highly trafficked. I have been there quite a few times and every time it seems like all the big stuff that I am after is gone. With that said, they carry so much I can still find 100+ different off the shelf beers that I haven't tried or haven't heard of that I would like to get. The only thing that worries me about this place is that they have so much I often worry about dating issues (please note I have NOT found or looked for any dating issues that I'm complaining about; only that it seems it could potentially be an issue). They basically get any beer that distributes to KY so I'm not even going to try and list what I have seen on the shelf.

On my most recent visit I was asked by numerous employees if they could help me at all; I didn't take them up on their offer but I'm a sucker for customer service and I appreciate their inquiry.

Overall, I love this place for what it is when I can stop by and I'm sure if I lived close it would be amazing because they would get a lot of special stuff; but since its not that accessible I only find myself grabbing off the shelf 6ers that aren't avail in TN or OH. Will continue to do my business at this great place, but its not my favorite shop I have been to either... (1,362 characters)

A - 4.5 A big, bustling store that has connoisseurs of all types roaming the aisles. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day I go in here, it's usually pretty busy.

Q - 4.5 This store is very large and kept clean. The quality of the products are up there near the top. No matter what you're looking for I'd say you could find a good quality product.

Ser - 4 Usually the staff is nice and friendly... if I can get their attention. I know they are usually busy and they have lots of customers to serve, but occasionally it takes a minute to get someone. That said, I haven't had any truly bad experiences and they are usually knowledgeable and willing to make recommendations.

Sel - 5 Best store I've been to in the area for overall selection. Tons of wine, liquor, beer, kegs, etc. The food section is pretty large as well. The cigar shop is decent. I do wish they had a few more taps at the growler station but overall you can't complain about this store's supply.

F - 4.5 I haven't bought much food here myself but I know that they have a good selection and everything looks to be of good quality for the most part. They also offer cooking classes I believe.

V - $$ For the most part, the Party Source's prices are tough to beat in this area. Certain items here and there may be a touch over those in other stores, but generally they have the price benefit of a large stock. (1,383 characters)

The party source has the biggest selection of beer very close to Cincinnati. They are always well-stocked, get all the limited releases, and have loads of stuff from the States and abroad, craft and otherwise. They've got a pretty good selection of glassware too. They can always answer your questions, and are always willing to save a bottle for you. Huge selection available for mix and matched six packs. They'll occasionally have some things sitting around forever. I was able to get some 2009 Double Bastard probably 10 months after its release. There's a whole bunch of Batch 10000 left at this point, among other things. It's a great place to shop for beer. (664 characters)

My only gripe about this place is the name and outdoor decor--For whatever reason it kept me from checking it out for a lot longer than I otherwise would. Oh well, my loss and now that I know what lies inside, it's my go-to place.

Inside the store is really nicely set up; they have specialty foods, a cooking school area, and then party supplies, wine, liqour, and cigars. Of course the beer is why anyone on this site would visit.

There are 5-6 rotating taps for growler fills and then the beer area is a large section in the back right corner of the store. They have several isles of BMC, but all the way against the wall they have 5-6 shelves of quality import 4- and 6-packs transitioning into 22oz and 750ml bottles. A little further down you start to get some of the craft 22's and 750's. Some domestic highlights include a decent selection of Avery, FFF, DFH, GI, Rogue, Stone, amongst others. Towards the end of the room temperature section is where the craft 6pks from Founders, Bells, yada yada yada.

Through the transparent plastic lies the cold singles section. If you're a burgeoning ticker like I am then this is your section. I can usually pick at least 5-6 12oz singles that I've been meaning to try but I don't want to fork over the dough to buy a 6.

On your way back out of the cold section make sure you check out their seasonal section, which right now has a pretty impressive selection of Christmas and Winter themed brews.

They also have a pretty good selection of mini and full size kegs for purchase.

I just wish the website was a little more user friendly and updated more often, but The party source is easily my favorite beer store in the greater Cincy area. (1,696 characters)

this is your one stop shop for anything and everything beer and spirit related. kegs, bombers, 6 packs, singles for the beer. Also have about 5 beers on tap for growler fills. Cigars, wine and spirits as well. They have a great selection of imports, bombers and cold singles. Only gripe is there is no warm american craft singles, only cold, but oh well. Closest place to cincinnati for fff!
They have cheeses and other foods as well as plates, party hats and anything else for a party. Lower taxes than ohio which is nice for the larger purchases... (550 characters)
