All the best aspects described by previous posts (see below) are on target. I’ll add that in addition to the highly knowledgeable, ever-preset floor staff, checkout is fast and helpful — boxes to transport your beer in are cheerfully offered and filled for you. The international beer selection is about as good as can get. The only downside I can come up with is, while this is the beer source for a lot of people who drive over from the Ohio side of the river, because the Party Source is in Kentucky, if the Ohio beer you’re looking for isn’t distributed in Kentucky, they can’t carry it there.

Huge craft beer section both in a walk in cooler and on shelves.
Best thing is they sell almost everything they carry it seems in singles. Singles are bit high priced but the selection is incredible. It’s really nice to be able to buy singles of things you want to try and not have to spring for a 6/4 pack. Especially with some of the bigger more expensive beers.
Highly recommend a stop if you’re in the area.

I thought the place was awesome. HUGE selection of everything under the sun. Sixers and four packs grouped by state, bigger bottles grouped by style. Tons of home brew supplies, plus a local brewery test room right there in the back of the store. I came out of there $250 lighter with stuff I was hauling back to my house that I can't get. Three Floyds, Dogfish Head, Brooklyn, Victory, Sixpoint, etc.

The biggest alcohol store in America, and holy crap is it easy to get lost in it. Impressive beer selection, and that applies to bottles, cold options, growler fills and kegs. Tough to find anything specific though, it comes it, it goes out, it sells out.

My favorite part about Party Source, besides the extensive selection is the mix-n-match six pack area in the beer cave. With several hundred bottles to choose from, it's the best around Cincinnati. Most bottles are priced $2–3, though you'll find some like Wells just a bit above that.

Amazing selection of beer wine and other spirits. Huge selection of beers from around the world. Also many beers on tap for tastings and to fill growlers. Knowledge of the staff is awesome. I feel fortunate to live in the are. I do not know of a similar store anywhere.

Great people work here. They love what they do and are very knowledgeable. Their beer selection is usually awesome however every now and again I'll go and will be a little disappointed . If you want to get other alcohol besides beer then you've come to the right place. Absolutely massive wine selection and their spirits variety is insane. Could do a little better with craft beer but killing it for the most part.

Recently moved into the neighborhood so The Party Source has become my new go-to location for most of my craft beer needs. This place is nothing short of huge, with large sections devoted to various categories of adult beverages. On the beer front, there is a large array of both domestic and imported offerings, with lots of shelf space for local stuff, all the typical singles, four/six packs, bombers, etc. They also offer home brewing products, a generous selection of glassware and even a rack of shirts/hoodies. The staff have a "best of the best" rack according to their particular preferences, right next to the tap room that offers their own in-house brews. During the summer months you can enjoy a beverage outdoors on the patio and take in some live music.

Surprisingly, even though this place has a honkin' huge beer selection, I noticed some notable absences from the shelf when I was there last night -- nothing from Mad River or Great Divide, for example, were two that leaped out at me, because I was hoping to find some John Barleycorns or Yeti. No worries, there's another beer mega-store about 10 miles away in Florence that I can check out for those.

Party Source provides a beer bar, liquor tasting, and wine tasting. They get everything and are the BIG sellers in the game.

Sadly they want to ask you to join a 200 dollar a year subscription service to get access to the best beers. Their staff ranges from really great and helpful to honestly just jerks. The higher up the worse they can be. Honestly since they've start offering all these really cool services they've gotten worse and worse to work with to get even relatively limited beers.

If you're just looking for a large selection and good quality. They're well priced and provide good options. If you want bourbon county stout, just go elsewhere, they won't even be honest with you. They'll just tell you they didn't get any.

All that said walls of sours, great imports, and stacks of cases of limited things such as founders harvest. A true asset to the community.

After years hearing about The Party Source, I finally found some time to make the drive to Kentucky. Here are some of the longest beer and liquor aisles you will ever see! A really good selection of locals. An amazing international selection. I didn't see any hot new limited releases on the shelves, and I didn't ask "what do you have in the back." I guess I was hoping to see more hard-to-find beers than one might find in other stores in the tri-state area. I think they probably sell out pretty quickly since they have such a big draw. Easy to get to and easy parking. If you're driving through on I-75 or I-71, plan on taking a nice long stop at The Party Source.

Updated Review, September 2021:
While still the size of a large chain store but dedicated to nothing but alcohol, the beer section has been moved and downsized in the 7 years since my previous review. The imports in particular took a large hit, and I'd say that particular section is now at or slightly above the import selection at the average Binny's location in Chicagoland. There is still a hefty array of beer available, and nearly all in single format as well as packs. The taproom has changed hands a few times, and is presently owned by Braxton Brewing and features primarily their Labs line of experimental beers - Rare Barrel Mondays are a thing of the past, alas. All that said, their bourbon section is a thing of rare beauty, if that's your thing.

In short, it remains a great bottle shop and tap room, but a bit less so than the good ol' days.

Original Review from 2014, which was a 4.77 rating:
I'm fairly certain this place was recently considered the largest liquor / beer store in the continental United States. And it probably is. It's easily the size of most grocery stores, carrying nothing but beer, wine, liquor, mixers, glassware, and some party food items. I'll put it this way - there are multiple Wal-Mart sized aisles for just bourbon.

There's a distillery in the parking lot now, and a brewery and taproom in the back that has 40-plus taps and various events like Rare Barrel Mondays (including things like Prairie Christmas Bomb! and Bourbon County Brand Barleywine). When you're looking at a place that carries virtually every whiskey ever distilled and over 70 different types of gin, you're also looking at a mighty fine place to stop in and grab some beer - especially if you're used to Ohio, where if a beer is over 12% ABV, it can't legally be sold.

I would put the craft beer selection here up against any other location in the US, easily, except perhaps the grounds at GABF during said fest (and maybe even then, there's a serious array of imports as well). I have yet to hear of any beer distributed to Kentucky that this store has not gotten hold of and put on the shelf and/or on tap, and if they do not have it, they will do their level best to order it in upon request. I have seen multiple cases of Crooked Stave saisons and Evil Twin stouts stacked in displays in the middle of the floor, and there's entire shelves dedicated to Mikkeller, De Molen, and so forth. The keg selection in the walk-in (more like the size of a car dealership garage drive-in) is completely unreal - sixth, quarter, and even full kegs of all manner of craft beer.

The place is ridiculous. It's the size of a Target, and it's all alcohol and assorted alcohol supplies.

The Party Source is a fantastic store. Incredible beer department with a massive variety. They also have an onsite brewery and taproom (Ei8htBall Brewing). Huge liquor department and a walk-in cigar humidor as well. A must stop if you're in the area.
