A: Looks good. Brown and clean with a thin, off-white head.
S: The label isn't lying. Powerful smokey aroma with bacon showing up clearly. Smells more like breakfast than beer.
T: Smoke blasts the tastebuds hard. Didn't notice the bacon as much, but the combination of smoke and malt wound up tasting kinda like a band aide. Not something I enjoyed.
M: Moderately full, the smokiness made it seem fairly big. Good carbonation.
O: This definitely wasn't my bag. The chemical/band aide affect in the taste left a lot to be desired. Pleasent to smell, not so much to taste. Didn't finish the bottle.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a mug, the beer pours a slightly hazy orange/amber/brown color with a half inch light tan head that fizzled away pretty quickly. Not much lacing at all. Aroma is pretty much all smoked meats/malt (bacon), along with a bit of wood. The taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes mostly like smoked malt/meats, and there's also some wood and an apple juice flavor noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and coating with a decent amount of carbonation. I think it's a solid brew, it's definitely worth trying.

A: Deep mahogany brown. Murky with tan head that fades into white bubbles on the top.
S: Definitely smells like smoked meat. Something sweet in the smell as well, almost like maple bacon.
T: Smokey up front.. this fades to a gentle pleasant sweetness. The finish is a nice long lasting grilled aftertaste. There is almost a Belgian flavor in here, I'll need to get another bottle or two to figure this thing out.
M: Thin to medium bodied, though it feels quite light in your mouth. Carbonation is there, but it is not featured. There is a nice roundness to this brew.
D: Definitely something I would like to get again. I think I could drink a few pints of this, and try to figure it out a little better.

22 fl. oz. bottle
Served in a mug
A - It is a dark rust color with amber highlights. I normal pour provided four inches of tan head.
S - It smells like a rauchbier. I get that wonderful aroma of smoked pork. I get some caramel malt as well.
T - It's got a pretty good smokey flavor to it. I get some sweet caramel malt in the middle, and it has a dry, bitter finish.
M - Medium with some prickly carbonation.
O - It has the makings of a great rauchbier. I loved the aroma, and the initial flavor was good. I didn't like the dry, bitter finish.

This beer was picked up at a local stop and rob. The beer was served in a pint glass.
Appearance: The beer poured a murky dark amber coloration. The head was a thick beige that resolves to a ring of foam. No lacing noted.
Smell: The aroma of the beer is loaded with smokey bacon. A nice maple note couples with the meaty bacon.
Taste: A sweet maple smoked bacon, starts very strongly smokdy and mellows out.
Mouthfeel / Drinkability: The body of the beer is just shy of medium. I think a little less fizzyness would improve the drinkability. I would certainly grab another bottle of this should I see it great bang for the buck at $5.00 a bomber.

100th review. super excited to get this. Thanks CMitchell! shocking my landmark review has something to do with pork....
This beer showed up at the house very cold today. I gave it 15 hours to settle in the fridge. Opened it up to a crazy gusher. Lost about 3-4 oz of beer all over my counter. Perhaps it was the extreme temp changes or the stress on route. Whatever, my kitchen smells like bacon so I don't mind.
L- a careful pour yields a dark, caramel amber. foggy and chunky. white flakes dance around in the murky cider like body. a fizzy, noisy, and lively head dissipates rapidly to a thin white film.
S- The smell off the bat is great. I was afraid since this beer emphasized bacon, that it would be like an overly smoked beer that gave a nitrate like amora, but this one is balanced nicely. Road tar, malted barley, honey ham, rubber, and charred hickory. absolutely awesome.
T- the taste is light and pleasant. It reminds me a Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen. Crisp with a silky malt presents.
F- overcarbonated and fizzy, but not stinging or thin.
D- Very high drinkability for me. Very happy I have another one. The taste isn't too heavy, but the smell is dank. I am very glad this one delivered. Bacon beer baby!

A - Pours a very hazy red with ample white fluffy head that had decent retention and left a decent lacing.
S - Smoke and lots of it, there is the typical pork/bacon aromas along with a malty sweetness.
T - All smoke and meaty notes, the typical pork/bacon flavors with a grilled bbq type flavor that starts strong and mellow through into a nice malty and smooth finish.
M/D - Mouthfeel is about perfect, coats the tongue but still light and goes down smoothly. Very drinkable for the style and worth a look for rauchbier fans.
