Caramel iced tea color on the pour. Thin head, just a collar of bubbles around the edge.

Smells appley, fruity, a light but distinct oaky aroma.

Sweet, malty, bourbony with lots of barrel flavor but not in a heavy or overbearing way. Smooth abv heat, very complementary. The cinnamon lends an earthy low-key spiciness that I really like.

Mouthfeel is solid, carbonation is a little muted, letting the flavors stand on their own.

Even a year old, the 2013 edition is drinking quite well.

22 ounce bottle, 2012 vintage. Served in a chalice, the beer pours a hazy reddish/coper color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like cinnamon, bourbon, vanilla, and some bready malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, with the cinnamon and bourbon flavors being strongest (but neither one is overpowering). Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy with moderate carbonation. It's also smooth and easy to drink. I liked this brew, hopefully Listermann will brew another batch next year. $12.49 a bottle.

A: The beer is slightly hazy reddish amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high light beige head that died down a bit but consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of cinnamon in the nose, similar in some aspects to spiced apple cider.
T: Like the smell, the taste is similar to the smell but also has notes of bourbon from the barrel aging. The cinnamon lingers through the finish and is especially more prevalent as the beer warms up.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a nice Christmas-spiced aroma but the taste of cinnamon and bourbon does not really seem to mix that well.
