Appearance - Clear golden with some hazy, with a lot of carbonation a head that dissipates fast.

Smell - Some malt, bread and a bit of hops. Quite fresh!

Taste - Caramel/malt, hops with a taste of grass and some fruit. A long bitterness in the finish. A bit sour as well.

Mouthfeel - Dry with a medium body.

A lovely lager. Dry, slightly burnt malt, slightly resiny/spicy hops, bitter, slightly acidic towards the finish. Spicy and tasty. Tastes very swedish, in that it tastes a lot like other microbrewed Swedish lagers i've had, this one is perhaps the best (well for me anyway). I not sure why but i seemed to be the only one who liked this when tasting it with buddies....well, i thought it was good.

pint bottle, stockholm opera house

appearance: clear golden body, fizzy yellow body

smell: lemon sweetness, dry bready aroma, pale malts

taste: as a czeck pils, this doesnt carry much weight, but it did fair decent paired with a spicy seafood stew. dry malts, grain, lemon sweetness. Nothing to seek out, but an easy drinking lager

mouthfeel: light, crisp

overall : OK

A clear straw colored brew with a big white head but rather little lacing.

The smell is rather weak, mainly fresh lemon and some grassy hops.

Upfront a bit sweet, brown sugar, bread notes, lemon, a finishing bitterness.

Medium high carbonation, fresh and a final dryness.

A good well balanced lager.

I have to start by disagreeing with the classification of Landsort Lager as a Euro Pale Lager. In my opinion the style is Czech lager The brewery calls it a "traditional" Swedish lager but the taste is characterized by it's bitter and spicy hops from Czechia and Germany, and it is certainly not as sweet as Swedish lagers go. The beer poured in a golden yellow colour and with a finger of foam. It actually smelled a bit like Sprite, fruity I guess. The taste was of apples and some pears, herbs and the spicy hops. It's a rich tasting brew with a strong personality which, together with Nils Oscar Pils, currently tops the best Swedish lager shortlist. But it's expensive, perhaps as much as 40% more expensive than the Czechs for sale in Sweden.

Testing this beer well chilled from a bottle poured into a tulip glass.

A: A pale, pretty turbid lager, when poured from the bottle into the glass the carbonation creates a thin foamy head that quickly shrinks.

S: The smell is pretty sharp and reminds me of a barn with cattle, not what i want to smell from a beer.

T: With the tones i pick up from the smell, i'm very sceptical about tasting it. But when tasting it the tones from the barn has disappeared and the taste is pretty good after all. It tastes like an ok-lager with a little bitterness and low malty tones as well.

M: This lager got a pretty good mouthfeel, nice carbonation,

O: An ok lager with good taste and mouthfeel, the downside is the smell that is absoluteley not what i want from a beer.

I'm very glad that I had a chance to try this via bottle (thanks Mattias!) I enjoyed it much more than the draft version. Seemed a bit cleaner and more precisely showed the characters of it and came off as a more pleasurable drinking experience. Better balance. Better drinkability.

Yellow/golden color and creamy medium sized head that is mostly diminishing after a short while.

Light smell of malt, some grass, caramel and white bread and just a little bit of hops.

The taste is mostly malty, some grass here to, light bitterness. Also a bit sour.

A decent swedish micro lager. A bit too expensive maybe.

A: This beer pours hazy golden since the beers from Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri isn't pasteurized. The head is beautiful white, creamy and thick and takes some time to dissipate.

S: Not as strong-smelling as I hoped, but rather nice anyway. There is a maltyness (caramell and pilsner-malt) mixed with lemon and grass. Nice and clean with some floral hoppy notes.

T: Malty, very malty, dry caramell malt dominates. But the dryness also is a hoppy dryness (some bitterhops) but the floral hops are also there - a real nice mix. A bit sour...

M: A mediumbodied beer with moderate carbonation. But the best part of this beer is the aftertaste - long bitterness with a dry note.

D: A very nice Lager, I had it on the balcony in a nippy swedish summerevening (mid-august) - but I guess it would go great with food. Maybe BBQ...
