Heavy brown, excellent lace all up in this beer.
Sweet sultry dark wheat nose, lots of dark spices, clove, cinnamon, dark coffee, sweet potato. Taste excellent, more strong notes of nose. Great.
Had at NBBC.

Infected. Sour, funk, & buttered toast in the nose. Taste was the same with some weizenbock flavors subdued in the background.

I like this better than Primus, though it too is excellent. These Tears make me smile ;'-).

I tasted this beer on draft in Fredericksburg, Tx at a German restaurant named Otto's. The beer was very delicious and left me craving more, something of beauty. Color, typical to a dark beer, blackish hue with rich mahogany foam. Taste was a bit indescribable by one palate, due to a quite complex flavor. Flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and even a flavor of banana bread to me. For the texture, it was somewhat similar to the consistency of a dry stout. Meaning not so thin that it lacks flavor, but easy to go down without overwhelming.
Overall I would highly recommend anyone to try this beer, and would again myself given the chance.
