12oz. poured into pint glass. Expecting a good seasonal from Sammy.
A: Coppery golden to darker brown color, almost tan colored half finger head that disapates to almost nothing very quickly. Ok lacing. very clear when held to the light.
S: Not really picking up on much as far as smell is concerned. Some spices, some hops thats really about it. When I think of winter seasonals I think of a large spicy holiday aroma.
T: Spicy, malty, and sweet. Just how it ought to be. Taste as if there is some allspice, and caramel or somthing like caramel there. I like the bitter hoppy aftertaste. Pleased with the taste and flavors.
M: Very clean and crisp. Just the right amount of carbonation. Great mouthfeel
O: Overall I think this is a great beer. S.A. never lets me down especially when it comes to seasonal brews. Its not the best winter seasonal out there but a good one nonetheless.

Sampled tonight on 3/12/14 though I last had this on draught in January at a local bar * grill. From their seasonal 'Winter Sampler" (or comes in a 6-pack). Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a brandy snifter.
Pours a nice dark amber in color with about a half of a finger off-white head that settles down to a thing layer on top and sides. Lacing was seen with each sip. The aroma is of caramel malts with a few spices. The taste of the caramel malts comes right though with some toffee, cinnamon and nutmeg. Very tasty with perfect carbonation. No harsh or bitter aftertaste at all. One of the better Sam Adam's seasonals.
