Poured from a tap into pint glass.
Appearance: Deep amber color, with a light brown head.
Smell: Nice, but light aromas. Can detect both the hops and roasted malts, but they are a bit subtle. Can smell some spices too.
Taste: Good balance between the hops and malt flavors. The mouth feel is smooth and crisp, but a little thin. The taste is complex and full of multiple flavors. A nice balance between the bitterness of the hops and the sweetness of the malts with some spice flavors, makes this an enjoyable beer to drink. A nice long aftertaste that doesn't turn bitter.
This is a nice lager from Sam Adams. This is a beer I would enjoy drinking all year round.
Serving type: on-tap
