Poured from a 12-oz. bottle into my Terrapin pint glass. I should mention that this is my last bottle of this, and this is the last month it's supposed to be good.
Appearance: Dark copper color, about half a finger of tan head. Not much retention or lacing.
Smell: Spicy and malty. No hops to speak of.
Taste: Lots of cinnamon and pumpkin flavors. Nice and spicy. There's a mild bready aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, even for a beer as old as this particular one. Feels crisp.
Drinkability: I don't normally crave beers like this, and I don't think I'll buy this much when winter comes back around, but I do enjoy it. Having one every once in a while would suit me fine.
Another good offering from the Boston Brewing Company. Not my favorite, but hey, I can't enjoy every style equally, can I? Still, I think they nailed what they were going for.
