Purchased three days ago in Sam Adams' winter variety pack.
A - Clear ruby orange color. Lighter off white head that leaves little, slightly spotty lacing.
S - Sweeter, with a blend of spices. Cinnamon, orange, a hint of apple. Mild salty/nutty malts to round things out.
T - Slightly fruity, mainly orange and apple. Noticeable wheat aftertaste. Sweet, but not sickeningly so as the more acidic orange balances it out. Not getting much of the cinnamon that the smell pointed towards, but there is a slight spice kick.
M - Higher carbonation but still feels clean. Lighter and airy.
O - Not a bad beer. Definitely a holiday brew. I wouldn't buy a twelve pack of just the Winter Lager, but still decent.
