A - Poured into a pint glass, a bit too vigorously perhaps, with a large white head that dissipated. No real lacing present. Color is orange-ish light brown.
S - sweet malt. A bit of dark fruit (plums, currants) and spicy smells like nutmeg and cinnamon.
T - Good amount of malty goodness here. Toasted grains, sweetness, brown sugar, and a lot of caramel. Some black currant flavor is present. Finish is a tad dry, which makes it more refreshing.
M - a bit undercarbonated, and not remarkable.
D - quite drinkable and refreshing.
Overall, a solid seasonal from Sam Adams that's worth picking up when the weather gets chillier.
