Served in a pint glass, poured from a 12 oz. bottle.
A - A bright orange amber with almost no head. Like the color, disappointed by lack of head. I wish there was more foam on the top of this one too. (I'm sorry for that really dumb joke)
S - Lemony, grainy, slightly peppery, with a touch of almost lambic-like funk. Interesting, but not exactly what I think of when I think wheat ale.
T - Slight spice and wheaty flavor melds well with the lemony, slighty hoppy frontal attack. A bit bitter yet pleasingly peppery on the finish.
M - Surprising medium body and high carbonation. Great feel.
D - Crazy drinkable. Definitely designed to be a summer session thirst-quencher. Pulls it off very well.
Overall - Late night in the basement isn't exactly the perfect place to be drinking summer ale. Nevertheless, it's a solid summer offering; will definitely consider again.
