Served in a New Belgium globe, with sediment properly delivered.

It takes a cloudy, pale orange color. "Floral" hop smell, blatant "wheat beer" character in the aroma; doesn't grab your attention. After sipping, it has a subtle sweetness upfront that fades into a crisp, funky bitterness. There is a distinctly bitter impression of malt. The body is a little bit thin, but not disappointing. Carbonation is pleasant and full, just shy of overdone. Once I had emptied the glass, I poured some final drops from the bottle back into it, swirled, and sniffed. It smelled like orange zest, a scent presumably stuck in the remaining yeast sediment in the bottle.

A pleasant brew, but not as strong a thirst quencher as I had anticipated. Perhaps this is best for evenings in late summer. Or perhaps it is best to have a second.

Poured into a pint glass, not a Sam Adams glass, but thats ok.

Appearance: Cloudy golden yellow. White head that lasted a couple minutes leaving spotty lacing on the glass.

Smell: lemons and citrus. Some hops and other grains.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Medium bodied, not as smooth as I would it too be. Lemons and mild hops. Different flavor, perhaps the grains of paradise?

Overall: Definatly one of my favorites and always will be.

Bottle poured into pint glass.

Appearance: Hazy yellow with minimal head and not much lacing.

Smell: Wheaty breadiness, with some spice, and lemon.

Taste: Weak wheat taste with some spiciness somewhat watery.

Mouthfeel: Light, thin, easy drinking with light carbonation.

Overall: I had really high hopes for this one after hearing the ad on the radio. This is a run of the mill wheat beer. Nothing too special.

Pours a hazy yellow with a thin, creamy white head. Smells like iced tea with lemon. Taste is initially some fresh wheat dough, followed by a hint of pepper. After that is a big lemony sweet component. It finishes with a whipped cream flavor along with a hint of herbal hops. Quite creamy mouthfeel. Overall a pretty good wheat beer.

Out of a bottle this beer was a cloudy golden-orange color with a nice white head. The lacing off the fine collar was impressive and sticky leaving fishnets all the way down my glass. The aroma was of pale malt, light crystal malts and a hint of must. The flavors were clean and refreshing but a bit blase. I tasted pale malts, a hint of spice from the grains of paradise but almost no hop presence. The mouthfeel was average, the body light/medium and the carbonation moderate. I know this beer is very popular but truth be told I find it rather forgettable.
