Pours out a crystal clear light amber with tons of carbonation percolating through the body forming a perfect 1/8 inch head that last the whole way down the glass with great lacing. (Laser etched bottom is a really cool feature on the Boston Lager glass).
Sweet, caramel malts and a good deal of crisp citrusy hops.
Lots of flavor in this beer. Much like the smell, the sweet malts are bold up front which are balanced nicely with a decent amount of spicy, citrusy hops. The finish is mildly bitter and ever so slightly dry making you come back for more.
Medium bodied with crisp carbonation, smooth roll around the tongue and a very clean finish.
As long as I'm drinking from one of the custom glasses, keep them coming. It really does make that big of a difference. Opens up the nose, lightens up the body, makes an above average beer out of this one.
Poured out a fresh bottle into one of the new-fangled Boston Lager glass. Actually a very cool glass that makes an intentionally bad pour come out perfectly. As nearly always, Sam Adams does a great job.
