I work in Korea and I found a few slightly out of date bottles at my local Home Plus'uh'. I gather it's a mass produced lager from America because it's widely available here in Korea.
A: Light amber. Superb head retention.
T: Lovely hoppy bitterness. Floral and very spicey with lots of boiled honey and citrus, bit of malt. Eerily reminiscent of Oakham Ale's J.H.B., my favourite beer, but lacking dimension, more like a pale immitation. It's still complex, but I'm finding myself willing it to go further. Sweet but not sticky, robust enough to be complemented by a conical pint glass. Really hard to believe it's a lager. Good sustained aftertaste.
O: I was expecting it to taste like Bud or Millers so I was quite taken aback by its hoppiness, exactly the sort of profile I like in a cask ale. Not quite a world class beer, but as far as mass produced lagers go it's the dogs bollocks, very flavoursome. As a default beer this would definitely appeal to British ale drinkers. Would easily rival Guinness. I'll definitely drink more but on the whole, the flavour, although delicious, just doesn't go far enough for me though.
