I first tried this beer in 1990 at a restaurant and have not tried it since. At that time, I thought that this was the best beer I had ever had. It was the perfect domestic beer for me. Everything is smooth, tastes great and had that certain "it" about it. Tried it again for the first time in 23 years and although not as great as when I first tried it, it was good nonetheless. Nice full flavor and great body. Very satisfying and highly recommended.

Large fluffy head with good lacing. The head sticks around for a long time. Beautiful light copper colored beer. Very clear. Moderate carbonation with large bubbles.
Hops are dominant. Some malt sweetness in the background.
Tastes like it smells, but with a slightly harsh bitterness to the finish. There is just something about the flavor profile that I don't like. It is too harsh for the style. It tastes like the ingredients are good quality. It just comes across as unpleasantly harsh on the finish.
Medium bodied. Good mouthfeel, but that weird lingering harshness detracts from the experience.
This is a pretty good beer that for some reason just doesn't sit right with my palate.
