Poured from a bottle into a Sam Adams glass
A: Clear, Amber color with little carbonation. starts off with about a pinky sized head and reduces to about a quarter of that once you keep drinking it. It leaves a decent lacing around the glass as you drink it.
S: A little bit of caramel, some floral smell but mostly sweet and malty. No smell is really overpowering. Smells are well balanced and quite inviting.
T: Caramel, roasty, bitter aftertaste, a hoppy upfront taste with a malty finish. I noticed that as the beer warmed up the flavors of the malt become much more dominant and left a better aftertaste that concealed the bitterness the aftertaste left.
M: Light, smooth, slight dry finish.
O: An excellent beer. I remember hating this beer before and now that I went back to it it was a much better experience. Perhaps my palate wasn't as developed before. It's a solid beer that goes well with many food dishes and just like the bottle says, it is a well balanced full flavored beer. This is always my beer of choice when it comes to having a beer that I want to drink a lot or with a friend. This is probably one of the most inoffensive beers around for those who want to try out beers outside the generic BMC.
