Poured from a bottle into a Boston Lager tulip glass.
A - Pours smoothly into two fingers of head, a dark clear amber color. Head remains for awhile, medium lacing, good bubbling from the etching on the inside bottom of the glass.
S - The hop smell is the first thing I noticed, flowery with a little bit of citrus, then balanced out with a healthy serving of malt.
T - Pretty sweet-flavored but also with an Earthiness that balance each other out very nicely. A decent bite from the hops but very balanced with the rest of the flavors.
M - Again, balance is this beer's m.o. Not overly carbonated, just enough to fizz while having a satisfying heaviness. Pretty long finish.
O - It seems like a bit of a cliche choice to name this one as one of your favorites, but maybe there's a reason for that. A well-balanced beer that's refreshing and just as good whether you're sipping or taking a big gulp.
