A: Pours clear with a large off-white head with good lacing and decent head retention. Orange, light amber color.
S: The first thing you smell from the bottle is a beautiful citrusy hops. In the glass, it's a nice balance of citrus from the noble hops and a pleasant malt aroma. I get notes of orange and bread crust. A nice clean smell with very little fruit.
T: This has a very nice balance of malt that is slightly hop forward, although it's a perfect balance for this lager. The sweetness balances very well with the bitterness. There's almost the slightest hint of wheat in this but I think that is from the bright hop profile. It has a clean aftertaste with a warm bread crust but after the lingering bitterness fades, a light malt sweetness is the last thing on the palate. A pleasantly complex lager.
M: Medium light body with a medium-high carbonation.
O: I like this lager very much. It brings a bit more to the table than the typical Vienna lager. I like the expressive, yet not overwhelming use of hops. It's right down the middle for style and is a benchmark session beer.
