Pours a dark amber, with an off-white head leaning towards yellow. Good retention and decent lacing.

Smells of whole grain, roasted malt, bitter herb, and a slight nut aroma.

Taste is hops up front bitter herb and some slight bitter citrus punch. Roasted chewy malt comes next with some caramel notes a nice full body. Finishes dry with a bitter herb bite. An excellent beer. I hadn't had this since I got into craft. Returning to it now, I am surprised how good it still is.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a standard pint glass.

A) Amber in color. Clean looking with bubbles heading to the surface. A nice finger of creamy looking head, that settled to a dusting. A bit of lacing too.

S) Malt dominates the nose with that initial whiff. A real pleasing sweetness, followed by light hops producing an aroma that is grassy and slightly floral.

T) Nice malty sweetness, bready, touch of caramel. This has a nice earthy quality. The hops presence blends in very well. Light grass, with a clean finish.

M) A medium body with not as much carbonation as I thought based upon appearance, but it is done right. This beer is both smooth and refreshing. Nothing wrong with the feel of this one.

O) Lagers kind of get overlooked a bit in my opinion. I myself am slightly guilty of this, so it's always a good idea to enjoy a classic craft brew, such as Boston Lager. This is just a really solid beer, super easy to drink, perfect session option.
