I bought this gem of a winter theme beer from Cosco!
A: Pours like a stout should, very dark which forms a decent tan head. The head stays for a while. I hate rating appearance :(
S: Best aspect of the beer is the smell. It smells like a gingerbread cookie soaked in a malt beverage to me. Very sweet too. Just what I was looking for.
T: Taste is a bit too sweet for me. I was wishing there was something to balance it out a bit more. It is upfront with tons of spices; lots of cinnamon and nutmeg goodness at the front. Ends with a coffee/cocoa like taste at the end. 9.0% ABV is hidden in the sweetness.
M: The beer is very thick and sticky. A little too chewy like for me.
O: One of the better spice beers that I have had. Then again, I haven't had too many. I would drink it again if I could find it. It is the perfect after dinner beer. I don't understand why this beer suffers from low ratings.
